When you got a good feeling in your bones, you just got to go with it!!.................................................
This is still the main stat for me. At the start of the season I would have been very happy with mid table. Now... we could have a good window and Potts could pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat. In which case, as this is a tight league without any outstanding teams, we might be on for a crack at the play offs. I just can't see it though.
Well pleased in bad conditions, But do we really want the playoffs ? I'm not sure yet and will wait to see what we do in the transfer window.....Good result and expected the win....
Cant see us in the bottom 6 but could see us in the playoffs....Both i dont really want this season......Another season in the championship will get us better prepared for a chance of promotion.......I dont care if we ever return to the premiership myself but the owners will and it is their club after all...
I also don't care for a return to the appalling P.L., but the City of Swansea would benefit from it - massively.
I see Potter is still taking your advice re team selection. Are you on the payroll yet ? Part time consultant, has a nice ring to it.
That's what for me made the last 3 years of the PL boring , just stay up and pinch a win against the big clubs , this league is much more enjoyable ,although I'd hate to see us fall further down the divisions all the same.
I’m not sure I want to return to the PL but at the same time I want us to win this division. The major benefit of the PL is that there’s always live streams to be had. The first few years in the PL were great, Europe etc, but once the poison set in and we became one of the ‘just stay up’ teams, it became miserable.
We are doing enough to stay up and finishing midish table so far and i'm happy with that for this season, Next season however i expect a promotion push as potts wont have any excuses then as he will have had two window options......He has not had any yet so i have to be content at where we are....
Sorry Dai but he's had one window and for what ever reason he didn't get the defensive midfielder he wanted . January I don't expect any incoming but a couple of out going players .
I hope we are in the chasing pack and hit form now. Usually one promoted team hits form going into Christmas I would like it to be us. If we don’t make it fine, but let’s have a go and keep it exciting. Whether we do or not will depend on how good we manage the window. Also if we don’t got up we will have more pressure on finances as the parachute payments diminish and our talented players will be pinched or be tempted by the bright lights of the PL.
Can anybody honestly see anything other than a window where the club tries to make a profit/reduce wage bill ? If we make any signings, I would expect them to be for no more than £500k.
