17th, 5 points clear of the bottom 3 and we've dragged other clubs (Brentford, Wendies, Wigan) into it. 15 points taken from the last 24 with some testing fixtures included on that run. not bad!
The run of games v leeds sheff u and boro I thought we more than matched all 3 of them and were much better than our lowly position and couldn't believe the abuse Adkins was getting. I said at the time we would go on unbeaten for the rest of the century or something similar and although we haven't done that we've still done remarkably well considering our small squad. and that's with players who Burnsy and Swanny were saying were just not good enough for this level. I think maybe that's why they are giving Adkins more praise than he actually deserves cos he's making them look bad judges of players otherwise.] He still deserves praise, imho.

Can people stop using the excuse of us paying Odubajo's wages as a reason he should stay. We where legally obliged to, Ehab wasn't paying him out of the goodness of his own heart. If Ehab could of got away without paying him a penny he would of done. None of us have any idea what we offered him in the summer, it could have been a tenner a week, and with a young family and a mortgage he might not have been able to afford to stay. None of us have any idea whatsoever, so let's not start judging him as a person before we know any facts. Great result, delighted Adkins has turned things around. Like I said, I would love to be delighted to be wrong about him.
Can only beat what's put in front of you. Job done. Interesting post match comments by Nigel the 2nd about BFC being second best team in the division for possession and the need to modify our shape to counter attack. Also Marshall only had one shot to save, as their shooting was ****. We could have kept the ball better and coughed it up far too easily in the second half to invite pressure back on us, but we never panicked and saw the game out in relative ease. 24 points from 22 games, first time this season we have more points than games, another 26 should see us safe and now Adkins has got his mojo back that should be achievable. I think 5 points from next three games is doable........Swansea (H) then PNE and vermin (A). Play Up Hal.
Now back home, thawed & dried out. Positives; we won, scored 2, clean sheet, 3 points. Wasn't pretty, but 3 points, some early Christmas cheer. Now STRICTLY unavailable!!
Now they are pushing for promotion and wealthy owners, I fully expect them to invest and the January window gives them the first opportunity. They'll be after bigger than Elphick surely?
Superb to hear real City fans treating a **** like he should be treat. Booing the **** and treating him to greedy bastard at every touch. Chapeau. Real fans who understand it's our club and that's what we do to ****s who leave us without paying their dues. Restored my faith in city fans unlike some of the cum guzzlers on here.
Southern fops not up for the fight. Dominated them first half and then sat back second half and said show us what you got? Nowt was the answer. Superb defensive display. Well done to Mazuch Elphick Kane and Kingsley and all the lads.
You are clearly in breach of the message to supporters to treat rival players and supporters with great respect and kindness ( or something similar).
Like Martin Fish did to Wayne Jacobs you mean ? The facts were he received the very best of medical treatment and full wages for two years. When he was finally fit enough to play again at the back end of last season he suddenly declared himself fit enough to play against Brentford away but wouldn't go on the club tour to Kenya. He wouldn't sign the new contract offered because it was less money then he was receiving as a Premier League player and as we know he re-signed for his old club. A bit of loyalty wouldn't have gone amiss. But it was his decision of which he is entitled but he wasn't going to get any warm applause from me today when he ran on. I thought it was a terrific three points. We do look like a team at least. Loved it.
The only thing I'd challenge, I assumed because he had been out for so long, we weren't prepared to take a risk so offered him a ridiculously low contract (we are talking Allams). Brentford won't have paid him a big salary, but clearly more than us, and they have a history of taking a calculated gamble with new recruits.
Absolutely no idea as I was two at the time Wayne left the club. As we where contractually obliged to pay him his wages, and Ehab was trying to protect his asset with the medical treatment. However, I have no idea what treatment we provided him, what contract he was after of offered. There is loyalty to a football club you owe nothing to (Or very little), and there is looking after your family. Again we are speculating which I hate doing, so I will completely reserve judgement. However, I would have done the same if Brentford where the one's offering me more money. I am not a particularly loyal person either.
Didn't see anything of today but it's interesting what's happened to Brentford sans Smith. Supposedly a sum immune to the loss of its parts and many on here were regularly dropping their trousers at the mere mention of their name. But now, it seems, they've got a fastrack to an interview with the old Division 3.
