The hosts were just moments away from ending a dreadful run on Monday night when they were unlucky to concede a late stoppage-time equalizer from Lucas Digne free-kick at Goodison. The Bluebirds snatched a massive 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Southampton last weekend. It was an evenly-matched contest which saw Callum Paterson making the difference 15 minutes from time after a terrible backpass from Saints’ defender. Neal Warnock’s troops, however, played much better at home so far in the season. They have been dreadful travellers clinching just one point from seven games on the road this term. Cardiff scored only three goals in seven away matches this term conceding as many as 15 in the process. Watford Team News Will Hughes and Andre Gray both missed the trip to Everton on Monday and have failed to recover in time for the Cardiff clash. They will be joined in taking up a watching berth by Adalberto Penaranda and Sebastian Prodl on Saturday, although both the Venezuelan and Austrian may not have been involved anyway. “Will Hughes and Andre Gray are out of the team in this moment after picking up contusions. Will’s is on the hip and Andre’s is just below the knee,” Gracia explained. “Sebastian Prodl has a little problem in his knee and we will need to assess him. Penaranda continues with the same problem with his foot and, in this moment, these players are out.” “Tom Cleverley is training really well. He has played with the Under-23s and in this moment he needs to improve his condition,” the Spaniard said. “I think he is close to coming back. He needs time in training like he is getting at the moment but he can play the next game if I decide and is available for Saturday.” please log in to view this image Andy Madley, who is the brother of former Premier League referee Bobby, has overseen just one top flight game in the past, coincidently when Watford drew 2-2 with Bournemouth last season. So far this term Madley has refereed in the Championship, League One and Carabao Cup and taken charge of 17 games. Those outings have seen him show 38 yellow cards and a solitary red . WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD - ENJOY THE GAME
Win and maybe we have been playing well recently without getting results. Draw or lose and we go into the other December fixtures without a win in a long time. A very important game is coming for Watford FC on Saturday. Gray & Hughes - both injured Capoue - suspended for his last of 3. Cleverley, Janmaat - still too soon? Prödl, Peñaranda - injured but wouldn't have made it anyways. What'd be your team? -----------------------Foster. -----------Kiko, Kabs, Cath, Masina. ...Pereyra - Quinta - Doucs - Swedish Ken. ------------------TD9 - Success COYH!!
Up for a slapping today lads? Warnock's cloggers are coming - we can't play football and will ony ever get anything from a game by bullying, cheating, time wasting and throwing tantrums on the touchline to distract the referee. Several of your players will probably get studded and your bandage cupboard will need restocking after the game. Finishing the game with more than 9 men is something of a novelty for us. In the unlikely event we do manage to scrape a point, it'll probably be blamed on Brexit and then deducted because we're Welsh. Ah well, you can't win'em all I suppose. So on with the game guys - may the worst team win eh?
Oldsparkey you have no monopoly on the naughty stuff. But we're basically nice people so we'll let you use our bandages. Boots is not far away if we need any spares. Sorry can't wish you a good result but hope all your travelling faithful have a good safe trip. Seriously you guys worry me. It's just the sort of fixture where your away form changes. We have 72% possession and you get the only goal from a pen in the 91st minute. mwynhau
OK guys, enjoy it - but not too much eh? Don't know if it's raining up there with you but it's chucking it down here and bloody freezing - glad we're not at home today. As far as the game goes, if we can score away from home, we'll win game one day. As it is, a point will do but I think we'll need to score to get it and we've not been very good at that on the road. If Warnock goes the same way as last week when we beat Southampton, look out for Paterson signed as a right back but playing centre forward . Pato will put himself about and you could have a problem out wide with Murphy and Mendez as quick and tricky as anyone outside the top half - and probably a few up there as well.
I normally would but have to pick my niece up from a party on the way. Definitely next time though and cheers for asking
Cold beer on a cold day, and I wouldn't be seeing a lot of the game. Vin chaud of course would be much better.
