I should point out that there are two sides to this. Why should a player feel an affinity for fans who are constantly on his back? A professional will do his best for the club that pays him but we can't expect him to play for fans who don't offer him support. Imo, these days too many fans are willing to lay into players because they just don't like them for one reason or another. This is why (apart from a bit of banter) I would never criticise one of our own for not being good enough. The only reason for giving them stick is if they are taking the piss and not trying. No-one is responsible for the talent they're blessed with (or lack of it) - only what they do to maximise their gifts. Anyone giving their all deserves respect for that in my book.
What about managers who lay into their players Mourinho and pogba an example of this or shaw probably others lol
I think I've made it clear that I think Mourinho is a spoilt child and his man-management skills are non-existent.
Dortmund are flying this season, so avoid them Bayern are great, but not their best, so I would take them Barcelona, wouldn't fancy them over two legs Porto, watch utd draw them Juventus, if utd can beat them... Real Madrid, I think we would all love to get them I am happy if we avoid Dortmund and Barcelona
Btw..... we are up to 16th on uefa club coefficient now. So 2nd seeds next season in cl should we qualify (humble approach best)

Playing the first leg at home which VVD is going to miss,we need to win by comfortable margin whosoever we play.
As per usual some twat has to spoil the party and taints LFC's name n Europe, a Napoli fan got beat up and ended up with facial injuries after the game, it's absolutely unacceptable that it happened and I hope the lad recovers fully after treatment. My only gripe is that the BBC in its wisdom(or lack of it)add at the end of their story the attack on Sean Cox last season, this season in Napoli Liverpool fans were attacked by Napoli fans(no mention of it), there is no connection between the two incidents and if there was it would have been more than one Napoli fan getting assaulted. They might as well give all the hooligan statistics involving LFC and Italian fans/ultras as try and tie two separate incidents together. God it’s that time of year again for forced smiles at the Hopital for a picture, he will cheer up when the Everton lads pop in. Great as always to see the clubs get in a make people’s day at a tough time. Hope he didn’t mention Pickford.....
