Europhile, Noun. A person who admires Europe or is in favour of participating in the European Union. Taken from the oxford dictionaries.
Why should people who have chosen to live their lives ie me away from the UK be allowed to tell the people left behind what happens to theirs
Brexiteer muppets, again with the ****ing arrogance to assume that we who voted leave are muppets while assuming because you voted remain you are not a muppet, you really are a cockwomble!
Just as a factoid, it was Brexit supporters on here who started using insults like "muppet" as a form of reasoned debate. Ask Ellers. Just sayin'
So let's take your bullshit apart then. "I've always said that we have to give something to the 48%" By playing hardball?. Do you honestly believe that she has not tried this and failed. We all should have backed the Tories to stand their ground. 1 Why? 2 What guarantee would the 48% have had that that by doing so, all of a sudden they would have been compromising? 3 You have a great belief born out of nationalist arrogance which is misplaced that we are stronger than we are and the world listens and obeys when we speak. Wake up man and jump forward two centuries. The only power the UK has wielded over the last 30 years has come from acting as shotgun to the Americans. I have little doubt that in the last 2 years of rhetoric from TM that she has tried those tactics and crashed into a brick wall. So now you want them to be generous to us after all the insults and accusations from gobshites and politicans alike? What you reap you sew. The Brexit camp poisoned the atmosphere and made it clear that the UK wanted all its cake and now. So come on Johnny Foreigner chop chop. I've read you several times when you've said that you realise that there will be some pain but you'll be alright because you've planned for your future and will survive and the victims should have as well . How ****ing arrogant and self-centred. Many people never earn enough to be able to save and invest for a rainy day. People on the whole do not choose to be made redundant or lose their jobs. They are victims and there will be plenty among those who are lucky enough to still be in a job who have struggled for years getting steadily worse off under austerity from your Tory government. In case you think I have forgotten your claim that you are not on the Right. I haven't . Either you are kidding yourself that you are open minded or you are lying. Your posts speak volumes. Therefore I acknowledge what you post, occasionally have agreed with a small part of it but on the whole reject it. It's not a vision for the future which I share and frankly don't really want to be a part of the future as you see it.
I would understand this line of argument if all current residents in the UK were allowed to vote (thinking of EU nationals who may have been here 10 years etc) if this is a vote about what happens to those living in the UK. Equally I'd understand allowing UK subjects abroad the right to vote and excluding EU citizens, if this is a matter for UK subjects alone about the future of the UK. I don't understand not allowing either. All a bit pointless after the event, but just trying to find the logic in either argument.
Tots of ex Brit's living in nz oz or sa might one day wish to move back Can they vote too Is there a time limit
because one day you may want to come back. But if I were to agree with your stance (which I don't on this matter) then why should you even have an opinion or be allowed to air it.
Wake up man. We have become an increasingly intolerant society and foreigners of any sort or those with different skin colour are increasingly being harassed. But that's alright. It has nothing to do with Brexit or the surge in nationalism. I really don't expect someone with left wing views to ignore or excuse what's going on. But then again, given what is happening in the Labour party at the moment I suppose I was being naïve.
On the other side, we are British though . Ok English. The minorities don't really matter anyway as they will do what we tell them. When we say something the rest of the world listens and obeys.
My eldest left at 3years old My youngest was born abroad and has never been back to britain Both have British passports My wife was born in nz but has a British passport Are they British enough to dictate your future life Assuming they vote on the winning side of a referendum that is
