I can't remember ever being so disinterested in international football whilst simultaneously being so hyped for an emergent Liverpool! All I want to know is who picked up injuries tbh

Am I alone feeling this way?

Nope, you're not the only one.

International breaks are ****e. I watch England when they play but apart from that, I couldn't care less. I normally go and watch my local team during the international break and I watch the F1 if it's on. Takes my mind off the international break!

Sit me in front of any football match and I'll watch it, but I just can't get excited about the national team.
Internationals are great in the summer when there's nothing else but during the season they're an unwelcome intrusion into the league programme as far as i'm concerned.

I am 17 I have already retired from International Football watching. The only thing I do is check the LFC website after to see if anyone picked up any significant injuries.

I don't mind it watching Ireland as the group is pretty tight at the moment (Russia 16pts, Ireland and Slovakia 14pts). Worst 0-0 match ever on Friday though against Slovakia, roll on Russia tomorrow at 4PM!!!! Have to go into work at 7am to get off early to watch it :emoticon-0113-sleep

My view on this I cant stand the international break either, but I like most other sport so it aint too bad

Personally I think we should all boycott international football. If the TV for 2moros game is 1 million viewers, TV companies wont wanna buy it, and if the crowd was 5,000 for every international friendly , the FA would stop having them.So stop bl%%dy watchin it

Tomorrow is a qualifier though, so I suppose it's worth something at least.
The friendlies are mostly pointless though.

If I were god (as yet I'm still only a saint) I'd do away with internationals during the season. All tournaments would be played during the summer and all nations would only be allowed to work with their players a month before it starts.
Level playing field, and the entertainment value's still the same and I don't really give a toss if they're all a bit ****.

I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed watching Ireland in '94 and '02 World Cups. Hope they make it this year. <ok>

Ahh this is nice, theraputic almost I thought I was a lone weirdo in my dislike of internationals :)

Whilst we are in the 'tree of trust' together, who else likes to watch Countdown naked other than a Chewbacca mask, smothered in pancake batter, wrapped in cling film? Anyone?

There's a choice - Carol Voderman as she was or the lovely Rachel?

lets face it.... england win 90% of qualifiers cos they are seeed first and other teams are dross... ergo its predictable.

england lose 90% of friendlies when they are against decent opposition.... ergo is annoying.

and as for the other home nations.... pure and utter dross.

so outside of major tournament, well they are pointless and back to back matches like this are form destroyers!
