Edit.........Sparky......your post has been edited. May I suggest you do not come on here and make sexist remarks. Suggest you read the forum rules........that is if you wish too continue being able to come on here at all.
What makes you think that being a forum moderator makes anyone different as a forum poster? I enjoy the forums (that's actually very few outside my own club) and anything posted is OK by me. We've taken enough flak from the media this early part of the season and also from some posters from other clubs pal. Don't get all precious with me on here - stand your corner and post something other than a little whinge.
OK, here is my two pennies worth. I was at the game as I am a Cardiff lad who has always supported Saints growing up for two reasons: 1) Matt Le Tissier and 2) The Soul Crew hooligans of Cardiff meant I never wanted to go and watch CCFC. This is the first game I have watched us play live for a while and after watching it, I find it hard to believe some comments on here. I remember many times in our first season back in the Prem that loads of opposition fans said that we beat them, not because we played well, but because their team played badly, even forgetting that the way we played made them play badly. That is what Cardiff did to us on the weekend - to say they didn't play well is a disrespect to how they set out to play us. In the first half, they should have been out of sight with the number of times they carved through us - we may have played badly (as per usual), but the way Cardiff broke at pace meant we were always under pressure, particularly when trying to play out of defence. Jannick gave the ball away in dangerous areas many times in that first half because of this pressure (and his clear inability to play football at this level - I hadn't seen him live before and wow, he was everything you have been saying and more) and a goal was always going to come for Cardiff. We played better in the first 20 mins of the second half, but never really broke through a determined Cardiff defence. Whilst I felt the game could have ended in a draw if the penalty decision went our way, the better side won - forget that we weren't good, the better side won - there is no need for any further comments about Cardiff being **** too; we didn't like comments like this when we came up and we should remember this before we give them out to other teams. My inlaws are season ticket holders at Cardiff and have said all year that the atmosphere is fantastic in the ground because they know they probably shouldn't have made it up last year with the team they had - but one thing they do have is a team spirit and a set of fans who are fully behind their team, which we are sadly lacking right now. Cardiff fans this year (bar the odd one or two that every club has) are very realistic of their prospects this year and are just determined to enjoy themselves, and my inlaws were right, the atmosphere was fantastic. From watching our matches online and on TV, we would kill for that kind of support at St Mary's. Let's hope Ralph's football will encourage a bit more positivity all round.
Nice edit Beddy. The sexist remark was a bit OTT to be fair and I wouldn't want to offend anyone - apologies Jenny.
After a very good post by Dead Puel, we now see the underlying arrogance shown in a number of the Saint's posts on here. Please explain what is a "Cardiff" type and why joining in your thread and responding to a number of posts is foolish. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this an open forum? If Sparkey's post was seen as sexist then the content in Saint-jenny's post is certainly Cardiffist.
Firstly LL, I am a poster foremost and moderator second. I only operate the mod's tools to assist members on my forum with issues they might have such as merging threads, creating stickies, technical problems or edits to their thread titles etc. I do not seek to ban anyone nor even warn anyone about what they post unless it is something really extreme. Mods handle their forums in different ways - some love to get involved using their mod tools, others just carry on posting.
