Dunno why i chose that title, but anyway, the point.

Been having a scavange through the old stats for the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, and found a little nugget which looks very positive indeed.

I noticed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 5 times for the Swedes in qualifying, nothing unusual there, a wonderfully talented footballer, great in the air and on the deck, who Peter Reid once deemed 'not worth £6million', before signing Flo for £7million...

Now, Bendtner, although not in the Ibra bracket, is superb in the air, the other strength he shares with Ibra, is his runs into the box around the penalty spot.

So, having noticed this stat, i looked at the assists table for qualifying, and noted wor Seb is front runner, with 7.

Dunno about you guys, but i think this is a great and positive stat, and one that makes me even more confident that Bendtner will turn out to be a top signing for us, feeding off Sebs delivery, which we have seen despite the teams woes time and time again already this season.

A nice positive thought for a Monday morning, and with Chelsea to come, surely an area we will be focusing on.

    That is all.

Does the Swedish gaffer play Seb on the right wing though? Daft bugger.

Hhmmm, you would like to think so, but even as a member of the BIB i have given up trying to second guess what may happen.

That's the frustrating part, all the ingredients are there, he's gotta learn thre ****ing recipe......

He's gotta be a Kieth Floyd, not a Macs burger flipper.

Even the l/w problem is not a problem IF he puts Sess there, and Larsson r/w, with Bendtner up with any of the other three alongside him, i only see positive things happening.

But what the hell do we all know.

Id like to think Brucie would see that but I think he'll have his cautious hat on for the chelsea game. I think gyan picking up a knock might have made up his mind for team selection, 5 man midfield with Bendtner leading the line on his own.

That team looks decent though mate, Bendtner will use Sebs deliveries, Gyan is pretty average in the air, because he is way shorter than most defenders.

Whichever team SB picks, he will be praying it starts to look better and quickly. I think the penny may well be dropping in the Bruce houselhold and maybe he realises he is only going to get the best out of his hand if he plays all his cards in the right order.

Chelsea is a no lose game for him to fair and he will have one eye on the Stoke game the week after. Thats the game when we need to see a return to winning ways, both for our sakes as fans but especially for an under fire manager who needs results quickly.

Anything on Saturday is a bonus. A win the week after a must.

ever since bendtner signed i've been looking forward to him and larsson linking up, where at Arsenal & bham together, will know each others game.

    as this has turned into a team sheet post however;

    i think bruce will play

    mig

    bardo titus brown richo

    larson cats gardner colback

    sess

    bendtner

(gyans "injury" causing him to drop to the bench)

    we should play however

    mig

    brown titus turner/laing bardo

    larson catts gardener sess

    gyan bendtner

brown to right back purely because i don't want to see elmo or richo anywhere near the back 4. would love to see laing get a run, phil jones is only 18 and is doing wonders, if this kids got it, stick him in.

I would play it like this, I would rather have Ricahrdson at Left back than Elmo at Right back. I think Colback would be unlucky to miss out but Vaughn might be the right man in the middle to help protect the back 4, he certainly deserves a chance in there. Titus at the back worries me, I think we will miss Anton.
