So we find ourselves heading up to 'massive' Leeds United this Saturday. The team that once graced the semi-finals of the Champions League now find themselves in the Championship for the 8th consecutive season, so a pretty established Championship side really. This year has started well for them and they now find themselves second in the league, a point behind leaders, Norwich, and four points ahead of West Brom who lie in third. Their top scorer is Roofe, with 8, then Hernandez (7) and Klich (5), so not a prolific strike record. The key to their success is seen from goals conceded, only 17 in 20 games. This stat is only bettered by West Brom at the moment, who have only conceded 13. We've let in 29. So, others will give far more tactical insight that I can, but expect a tough afternoon for whoever starts up front on Saturday, but you never know there is always hope. I'm reminded of that every evening when I sing my kids to sleep with 'oh Bobby...' COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!
I think I'd start with this eleven. Wells seems more effective coming off the bench, which would be a good tactic as Leeds are short in defence with injuries. Wells would stretch their tired defenders with his fresh legs. I'd put Scowen in with Cameron to add protection to our recently leaky defence and drop Luongo who looked like he was running through mud last week. The front four will need to break quickly and decisively if we are to get anything from this game. Leeds are tired from their high pressing style which looks unsustainable in a full championship season and have a lot of injuries. I'd take a point right now. please log in to view this image
I fancy us to turn them over, we're better with only 35% possession meaning we can counter attack with pace and cause them problems, we just need to be tighter at the back and agree with 999's that Scowan may be a good call instead of Luongo.......
Now here's one from the distant past, this was the year the Leeds were Champions and we were one of the few sides to take a point of them at Elland Road, no doubt these days the game wouldn't have been played....
Maybe the ref had us down as 1-1 for the half time score on his Pools coupon as there's no other obvious reason.....
Nines, I agree with the formation and team. For me it is a toss-up between Hemed or Wells. I agree that Wells and BOS comming off the bench could be a real handfull.
I am intrigued as to how this game will develop. After a great period of clean sheets we have started to give away silly goals. This also coincided with games where we dominated the possession but we were hit on the break. Leeds are in form and will certainly try to dominate and press us. This may really suite us and hopefully we may return to former successfull ways, or else if make errors as we have recently, then we have a hatfull scored against us. I am looking forward to watching it on the QPR+ stream.
Bizarre decision! I've got a good mind to track Mr Lee the referee down and tell him that he's just another **** ref.
Best of luck bob, hopefully as qprski says, with home opponents dominating possession, hopefully we will return, to our counter-attacking style. But a very tough match.
We have to try keep hernandez quiet and they have an excellent young winger coming through in jack Clarke who I worked with. This kid will go far
A surprising choice of a picture. After my recent visit to the Holy Land it conjours an image of a “baptism” to the QPR family. I hope that my sincere reflections have not offended anyone.

This was a twitter post from the journalist Toby Young in case it helps any one: "So QPR fans. If you use a Tor browser can you watch the games live using a QPR+Pass? Not that I’m very hopeful about getting a point at Elland Road! #LEEQPR"
