I haven't done the research to confirm this (sorry) but I've just been in an email correspondence with an Ipswich fan and it occurs to me that it's quite possible that Stockdale has already let in more goals for Ipswich than he has for Fulham, despite only playing half a dozen games so far for his latest on-loan side. Can anyone be bothered to work out whether that's actually true? This isn't meant as a wind-up, Ipswich fans. I hope your form turns upwards soon, and that Stockdale is one of the consolations rather than part of the problem. We all rate him here at Fulham, so I hope he's doing better for you than the scorelines suggest.
My cousins are all Ipswich fans and they insist that it is has been their poor defending rather than stockdales goalkeeping which has been the problem this season. This may be confirmed by the fact that he was on the bench for england on friday ahead of Green so can't be doing too bad. This said, it would be good to see Ipswich improve for the sake of their fans and so that Stockdale builds up a bit more confidence.
Stockdale has made a lot of decent saves but still conceded 12 in two games... that shows how good our defence is!!
Yeah Stockdale has been rubbish conceding all those goals, can't understand why you guys rate him so highly!! I think you should probably think about selling him to us for a small fee to get him off your hands!!
Stockdale has NOT been our problem. There's no such thing as a failed student - merely a bad teacher. In this case read 'our defence' (and midfield!!!) for teacher!
The addition of Sonko, hopefully Collins from Stoke next week should help sort the backline out. His record is: 14 goals in 5 games conceded for Town - 8 goals in 10 games for Fulham.
He conceded 12 in 2 matches at championship level so you wouldnt want him playing for you in the premier league would you? You may as well just tear up his contract and let him move here on a free now. We would be doing you a favour! (town fans do you reckon they will fall for this??)
Nice try, itfcptc and others! Glad to hear that he's doing all right despite the stats, and I hope things are looking up for you soon.
Mrs Captain is a teacher, and I suspect that she would disagree with that statement. Mind you, her family are Norwich fans, so I also suspect you would question her judgement anyway.
