So Celtic have been allowed back in Europe. What a load of rubbish. I agree that Sion should be kicked out but just how many doggy lives are teams going to get? I mean look at " The Champions/2nd, 3rd and 4th placed Teams/5th place if you have plenty of money in one of the big Leagues League". What a joke that is. And if you're mince in that there's always the Europa. Football these days is a money making exercise and has become hopelessly unbalanced and is no longer a game that is affordable for some people to watch. I honestly hope Sky goes tits up.
"So Celtic have been allowed back in Europe. What a load of rubbish. I agree that Sion should be kicked out" Any danger of you making sense ya auld ****?
Precisely. Celtic won it when it was champions only. Surely UEFA could be done under the Trades Description Act. Football is becoming a farce at every level.
Yes I am saying that neither should progress. Celtic lost and that's that. However if you want to see them getting turfed out a third time then so be it.
I'm glad they did get back in, despite them getting around £4m I think it will benifit Rangers. I hope too that Sky goes belly up, but honestly can't see it. It's shocking to see clubs like Stoke spending £24m in a transfer window. A return to the old format were only the Champions qualify will never happen as the big teams would just pull out and setup their own format. Will be interesting to see if UEFA have the stones to kick out any big teams that don't play by the new finance rules introduced.
I actually agree with the old duffer. The Champions League is a carve up between the big countries with a few places thrown to the smaller countries. Mind you, I'm not complaining about Celtic getting a second chance.
So if any team fields intelligible players, they and their opponents should be kicked out of that competition? <MENTAL>
I don't like the champions league format either - in theory you could have a team that has neevr won its national league being crowned the champions of Europe - it's not on really! on the plus side at least it prevented 12 or 14 teams in Europe getting together and having their own league whislt pulling out of their national ones.
