I am deeply honoured and of course totally thrilled to receive this award. I am almost lost for words....but not quite. It means the world to me to be recognised for my continued efforts in this very difficult and sometimes controversial field. It is moments like this that make it all worth while. This award will take pride of place in my loft right next to my 'I am Woman' award received earlier in the year. Of course my efforts are ongoing. My work is never done but now I feel the love and appreciation. ... well, it's given me the strength to continue. There are too many people to thank individually. .but you know who you are and I love you all.
