Oddy, they are an absolute nightmare at the moment. So many prices I keep thinking look tempting, then the week after theyre down even further! If you can afford to play a long-term strategy there are some good opportunities I feel.
Fingers crossed for Dan here with BPG Topclass I know what you mean, I jumped in last week and was a fair bit up 1 day later but decided to hang on and its all dwindled away again ................
Dan I took note of your words Dan, left alone. Might help his handicap mark though As I thought the Nicholls horse is helping the price for Cappagh - watch the bloody thing go and win
Wayward: Unlucky there mate, Hanagan gave that thing a superb ride Got my money back from the bad one i chose Maastricht and Miss Ferney in a £2.50 EW trixie though, so a nice start thanks to you
Finished my betting for the day, learning to quit while Im ahead is proving difficult; however, there are a couple of interesting ones running at Newcastle on the remainder of the card all at a price big enough for a small EW wager. 3.50 Viking Dancer 33/1 - formerly with the Balding Yard, didnt impress FTO for his new yard, but is lightly raced and on a nice mark which is normally a good indicator for Ruth Carr horses. 4.20 Silent Lucidity 33/1 - off a cracking mark, gets the disatnce, ground, C&D winner off a similar mark and has been running and placed in better company than on show here today. 4.50 Gilt 14/1 for no other reason that it is another southern raider to a northern track and is Ed Dunlops only runner here today and gets in off a nice mark for her first handicap outing.
Had a daft little e/w dabble on Honest Buck in the 3.50, fancy it to come on for the first time cheek-pieces and it's best effort to date was at Newcastle
Top: Those ones i gave you (long term) have had good reports and positive advertising again. If you get a good return on summat i'd deffo take a couple of hundred quids worth and leave em for 18 months mate Oddy: Shame you like the quick turnaround mate, i am sure these will fly, with making the quick profits you must be paying regular charges?
I have been heavily taxed this year Gary, but you get taxed on all capital gains here regardless of how long you hold the stock for (it used to be tax free after 1 year). Charges for the trades are pretty small with my broker, usually no more than about 20 quid
