An interesting runner in the bumper at southwell tommorow, trained by alistair ralph , not a renowned bumper winner but had a 33/1 shot win at bangor the other day , he runs Daario Naharis , this finished third in a bumper won by Thomas Derby no less , beaten less than three lengths , no doubt Stick will be on to give his view !! In the previous race Kelly Morgan whose Red Indian bolted up the other day runs Extreme Appeal , there has been early money for both of these 3/1 and 8/1 atm .
Nothing wrong with your reasoning Rudey. Not often you have a shortlist of five in an eight runner bumper though. Gun to head I would be with Whitehotfillychilly who has a spanking pedigree. Be interesting to hear if odddy has a strong view on this race.
while he's no doubt a good conditional , all the others are perfectly capable riders , i am a fan of the FoB operation , but think they're having a relatively indifferent season so far , especially in bumpers , as opposed to last year when they had a higher strike rate than stick !! It's a interesting race , with a number of good horses , but form in the book puts Daario in pole position !
POLARBROOK 13/2 Southwell 3.00 Good run latest and dropped for it. Cannot see Hughsie going for one ride and not giving it the kitchen sink treatment.
That bumper is a right puzzle, you’ve got really solid bumper form from the spring against well bred newcomer and yards who do well with bumper horses. I’d play the front three in market in forecasts if I was racing
I thought the Fry horse was the one on pedigree last night but had a closer look early this morning and I see it changed hands as a foal cheaply and it is the yards syndicate horse. If it was useful then surely Fry would have fired one of his big owners into it? Ben Buie and Lantiern ran well behind Emitom who's form is working out stunningly well. No reason to see why the latter should reverse the form. Daario Naharis had the benefit of three runs in points when making his bumper debut in a race where the 1st, 2nd and 4th have all won since. He was very keen that day and my two minor concerns are that he may need further to show his best and that he has had a long break since. I'm Wiser Now is a son of a bumper winner and she is a half sister to La Bague Au Roi. As Flo says they paid decent money for him but to be fair they have pretty deep pockets. If he was showing a huge amount I would have expected market strength last night. Minnie Escape comes from a yard I like but this daughter of a winning mare was clueless on debut. I have no doubt that better is to come but this looks a tidy race. Phoenix Song is progressing but looks one for distance races some way down the line. Lahloo looks of very little account. With Keighleys bumper form 0/7 at the track I would/might have a go on Daario Naharis and hope the lad lets him stride on a bit. I have had some nice touches in bumpers this year using 365's each way extra and if I can get 33/1 first five places I may have a bit of yesterdays profit on Phoenix Song.
Morning, team. Not been on for a few days so here are my thoughts on Saturday’s selected duo. Wasn’t Santini imperious in his Grade 2?!? Did it very well and its frightening for his future opponents when you further consider he wasn’t fully fit at the weekend. Can’t wait for his next run and he remains, in my opinion, the most exciting horse in training at the moment. It could be the Grade 1 novices, at Kempton Park, on St Stephen’s Day next and if kept to novice company in term 2018/19 then I can’t see the old boy getting beat. Saturday’s win did though, in my view, increase his % chance of running in the 2019 CGC from 2 to 15 (very detailed scientific formula went into that calculation, incidentally). Lust For Glory increased her value with a Listed 2nd spot in the preceding prize but I was a tad disappointed she didn’t oblige. Was conceding a penalty to the winner but I felt that wouldn’t have stopped her. Let’s hope the old girl gets back in the winners enclosure over the Festive period. She does remain, troops, one very much one to follow. Nothing for me today but good luck to those wearing their punting punts.
Thanks mate. I really wanted five so may just let it run. Interesting thing about each way extra is that it increases the win odds if you take it down to two places. So if you are prepared to be EW Daario Neharis for example goes from 3/1 to 7/2.
fakenham,1 40: BANG BANG ROSIE is rather hard to assess, but her irish form isnt too shabby, and should give a good account today on her debut for the bowen team..
Possibly unlucky. Hampered by faller when making forward move, lost momentum and never a danger after.
