And you'v had a few days to digest the news.

What do you think is Liverpool's best looking team and bench on paper.

    I thinking this right now:

    -----------------Reina-------------
    -Johnson-Carragher--Agger-Enrique-
    -----------Lucas-----Adam--------
    ------Gerrard-------------Downing-
    -------------Carroll---Suarez------

Subs: Doni, Skrtel, Kelly, Henderson, Spearing, Kuyt, Bellamy.

Picking right back was difficult, in a good way, and I cant judge between Skrtel and Coates yet, so I just went with the familiar one.

Gerrard has a free role, not right wing.

We have so many options, the bench in that team is really good.

We are looking at this thw wrong way. The strength lies in the squad. Hence the starting 11 and the bench will change for each match to maximise our opportunity and minimise the effectiveness of the opposition. It also means that we are capable of changing our tactics within a game - kenny has already demonstrated that at Arsenal.

for me we've the options to go do a lot of things, I'm just not sure we've enough when we think about changing it up, henderson, maxi, bellamy... but alos just creatively on the bench in the middle of the park. Its that one or two guys that really improve things.

that said if we are defensively sound (agger and enrique help this no end) and we have suarez creating goals we should get a good season under our belts.

People are also forgetting about Skrtel who on his day can be pretty solid. He is only 26 years old and will be just approaching his prime as Carra retires.

I'd start Kuyt and bring Carroll on later the way things are at the moment. I much prefer to see us keep it on the floor.

You can make up 10+ different lineups/formations that all look great. The greatest thing about the squad we now have.

Any first eleven i made wouldn't have Adam in it. He seems to get lauded for his 50 yard balls and set peices when they do come off (Which is rare) and everyone forgets the far more regular occurances he gives the ball away or try's something stupid.

Why oh why did we let Merieles go <doh>

Becvause he wanted to go. Why would we keep a player who didn't want to be here? We're not Arsenal

    Bozz is spot on.

I also think your are being a bit harsh on Adam, OK he hasn't been our out and out best performer but I am more than happy with him so far. He has a goal and a couple of assists to his name and I think he will be an important player to us for the rest of the season.
