For old time’s sake. 1. Campbell 2. Bowen 3. Henriksen Kane also superb. In fact most of them were superb.
No question about 1 & 2 - Campbell and Bowen - but there were quite a few who can lay claim to being best of the rest. I'd go for Batty.
That Marshall is $hit. I've always said it..How he gets a game week in week out is a joke. He must be Adkins Blue eyed boy......Bring back Jeff Wealands… Where are all the Marshall haters hiding??
I don’t think people hate him. He came with a decent reputation, when he got his first team chance , to be fair he did have a fairly sustained poor run of form. You know the rules on here, if you can’t kick a dog when it’s down, when the £*** can you kick it?
All credit to Marshall, he was a liability only a couple of seasons ago, looked finished, now he's McGregor mark 2
I respect your opinion...When your playing behind a poor defence and up against Premier League strikers, then it wouldn't matter if your Peter Shilton, Lev Yashin, Buffon, rolled into one your going to concede a few..
Haters? Wtf? I said he was ****. Is that hate? He was **** for us. Now he's come good for us and no one could happier than me about that. Hate .
Players don’t get judged over a season like they use to anymore, ask Hendrickson. Confidence plays a huge part in form and Marshall hopefully has now turned the corner. I see Danny Graham got a hat trick yesterday,he couldn’t get served in the bar at the KC when he was here yet now he is banging goals in for fun.
Bowen Campbell Elphick Everyone did well, although Lichaj had an uncomfortable first half. Interestingly young Mackenzie stemmed the flow down that wing second half, until injury time!
Players need to get judged for the wages they get, too many can slide by under the radar. Though that doesn't tend to be the case with goalkeepers as they are more exposed. He doesn't have as much competition now and saying 'I told you so' doesn't really take into account the changes in circumstances. Our defence now is hardly stronger than last season. In the top tier we had some decent defenders too, though we obviously had much tougher opposition also. Goalkeepers in form also tend to give more confidence to the defence around them. So it's more complicated than 'he was always great'.
1. Campbell .. ran his heart out and showed what we miss when he isnt in the team .. the drive .. the deft touches the set up play and he actually causes a threat 2. Marshall .. two or three saves first half kept our noses in front.. deservedly second tbh 3. Bowen .. couple of goals and a much improved alround display.. obviously the confidence of scoring meant he went at it better. Defences have worked him out a bit this season but the lad still has quality. Honourable mentions to McKenzie and De Wijs .. brought on at half time did their job admirably. Getting up to speed as soon as the whistle went for the start of the second.
