Good Morning Everyone Jansson will be fit to play in tomorrows Yorkshire derby at Bramall Lane. This being the case he will slot back in at centre back along side Cooper, allowing Phillips to return to his familiar role sitting in front of the defence. The big question is, will Bielsa pick Forshaw, or recall Saiz? Newcastle Utd are itching to get their hands on Jack Harrison on loan should Leeds find the 21yo surplus to requirements! Bielsa was asked about Alioski's dive on Tuesday night: "I never accept cheating. Sometimes people think cheating is a smart thing to do. Even if I don't condemn it, from a personal point of view I wouldn't reward someone for cheating." "But I don't like to criticise footballers who cheat. When you cheat during a football game, you can't compare it with a projection of morality in life. Usually that's what we do. My conclusion is I don't want to criticise Alioski because I like him as a person." Hastings United highly rated teenager Adam Lovatt could very soon become a Leeds United player. The midfielder, who has only just turned 19, will be heading to Thorp Arch for a five-day trial starting on Monday! Equally adept at starting attacks and breaking up opposition raids in the holding midfield role, Lovatt is described by Agutter as ‘the fulcrum of the team’. Will Leeds have a battle on their hands to land the highly rated teenager?
Good morning Matt & everyone We are going to need our best defender back in the team as you can anticipate more bombardment in & around our box than Bristol City & Reading produced in our last two matches The thought of going into games with just one big defender in our team scares the living daylights out of me especially at set-pieces
Morning all... I think I’d start with Forshaw, use Saiz as an impact sub. As we had a game Tuesday night, my other option would be start Saiz ahead of Pablo and give his legs a bit of a rest, a brave thing to do and we’ve seen how we miss him when he doesn’t start.
Morning all Funny how things turn out, last Night Malmo managed by Uwe Rosler were 2-0 down until Marcus Antonnson created an assist and then scored himself for a 2-2 draw and think that's his 4th goal in Europe this season as well as his league record which is a goal every 1.6 games. Seems to have all gone quiet on the transfer front except for goalies we are linked with. Apparently Stockdale was recalled from a loan move and just put with the kids? Seems our mate Monk is a dick head and punishing him for some reason. Plenty of players telling him to keep his head down and he will get the move he wants?
I'm not really convinced that there will be much happening in January. I can see the need for a 'keeper, either bought or loaned, but bearing in mind Bielsa's long track record of small squads & developing his u23s, I can't really see him adding to the squad. As it is, we've got Brown & Bamford coming back, like 2 new additions. The only exception I can really think of is if we return one or more of our failing loanees. Baker springs to mind, and possibly Harrison.
Ok folks tonight our U23s are playing Newcastle away in the Premier League Cup. I expect to see 90 minutes from Izzy Brown and may even see Patrick Bamford on the bench. Wonder if Bielsa has seen enough of Pavel Cibicki yet and decided to give him a go in place of Harrison. Some will remember that Cibicki played one game for the U23s and banged in 2 goals
Last words of King Harold - "Watch that fecker with the bow & arrow, he'll have somebody's eye out." I'll get me coat.
Izzy Brown starts and yes Bamford is on the bench love it. No Halme so hes on the bench tomoz but Strjik plays as CB and he is quality too, Leif Davis plays Miazek in goal so Huffer on the bench tomoz. Stevens plays but Edmondson on the bench with Bamford. Tough ask for Leeds to pull this off
