I went to university there. It's a ****ing ****hole. Cosmetically, it looks better now, but it's still a ****hole. And that ****ing accent
Eldest daughter lives in Fulham moved there from Wimbledon late September - she loves the place ... Have always gone down there a lot through work and I was based in Blackfriars for 2 years 2000-2002 above the Mermaid Theatre - earlier this year I worked in Tottenham Court Rd / Oxford St for 3 months (during the World Cup) ... pubs were rammed every afternoon / evening - great atmosphere I like it ... vibrant place to go for a night out - huge choice of food - but like every city there are areas to avoid, of course ...but the main tourist areas are pretty good
Hey Toby, I thought you was one of them Orcs from GC...you come across normal at times...I'm confused
A bit, not much though. I used to go to Brum most weekend clubbing in the late 90's as we had mates there and also went to an Edgbaston Test match most years. The area round Broad street and the canal basin are ok for nightlife and a drink, the rest is horrible and strung out all over the place. Their USP is the jewellery quarter for **** sake. You can buy jewellery in any city, you don't need to specifically visit that dump for it. The bets bits about Birmingham are the M6 and M42 because they circumnavigate it. (slowly)
"That there London is a right **** 'ole, int it, lad! I went there once, when I were a lad, wi' whippet, like. Oo! It were one hell of a drive on't bus!"
