Big drift on this one, however, Wolf Slayer @ 25/1 off a winning mark and down in grade has a good EW chance in the 7.00 @ Wolverhampton
I thought SYT was very impressive to be honest. Travelled really well in to the race just off his pacemaker. Snow Fairy has a cracking turn of foot but when she loomed up he was always in control of that battle. We will see the best of him in a big field with a good gallop throughout the contest imo. Don't know what Cyc thought of his performance tonight ?? sure he has seen all of the Aussie races. I have only seen a few
I was not impressed by So You Think at all. I do not think that Roderic O'Connor ran as a pacemaker, he set out to make all as this had been a successful tactic in the past. The race was run at a good even pace and there were no sob stories as everything that was good enough had its chance. Notably Recital ran abysmally again, refusing to settle and never being competitive. Hopefully, Coolmore will decide to let So You Think take his chance is the Arc. The bookies reaction to his victory in the Irish Champion Stakes was to shorten his odds from 5/1 to 11/2 (just in case you did not notice, that was sarcasm). Clearly the judge at Leopardstown does not have a SpecSavers branch near him as he recorded the neck margin of victory as half a length. How much did O'Brien slip him to try and make the World's best horse look better than the bare result? Snow Fairy is a very good filly but she does not even feature in the Arc betting and she did win a couple of big races in the Southern Hemisphere last season, so perhaps (controversially) their middle distance horses are not as good as ours. If So You Think is a wonder horse, as some would have us believe, they will head to Longchamp on October 2nd.
Best of luck yourself Dan, I won't be accepting heavily complex but it does attending a alluring chase
