Yes. I'm out until Duchatelet is gone. Far too late I know, but slightly better very late than never I guess. I've tried to ignore him, to tell myself I'm supporting the team and not the regime by continuing to go to home matches. But all I have been doing is playing RD's game. I'm being completely honest now - I haven't really cared whether the team win or lose since Chris Powell was sacked. And the longer this has gone on, the worse it has got. In the last few weeks of Karel Fraeye's abject interim failure, the three, four, five goal pastings the team was taking made my blood boil. They were personally humiliating. Now I watch Soccer Saturday and hear that Charlton have lost away to Rochdale and it means nothing. Then I sit in the nearly empty Valley and watch the team beat Barnsley 2-0 and feel absolutely nothing. And I tell myself I'm being a loyal fan by sticking with it, by going through the motions - when all I am really doing is collaborating. I've tried to believe that Duchatelet is not the Club, but that's just a convenient lie just like the lies he tells to justify what he has done. He is the Club until he no longer has absolute control over it. And anybody who is willing to tolerate him is being used by him in my honest opinion. Being used to play his game as I have played it for years, to my everlasting shame.
I agree with much of what you say @lardiman ...I must confess, my own interest has started to wane again in recent weeks. I think it’s the realisation that you are chucking money at something that is guaranteed to end in failure again this season, because the owner doesn’t give a sh1t.
I agree with Lardi, but will continue to go to the odd game just to keep in touch. For instance I couldn't resist going on Saturday because FHB jnr was down for the weekend. If it wasn't for BowJacko the whole thing would have disintegrated by now; they have kept what remains of our support onside. There are too many other problems facing Britain and the world to let the Belgian cvnt continue to add to them for so long. IMHO of course.
Wow sorry but what a load of dramatic bullsharto, are you trying to write churchillian speeches ? Shame at supporting your side ? Every goal charlton score means something and always will , yes we are in div 1 but right now there is a good vibe about the team , we have players fans like and identify with like lyle Taylor etc. On Saturday walking out the ground the fans were singing all the way up Floyd road , ask them if winning is hollow I certainly won’t be missing this season because of some weird Belgian bloke
Sorry Ernie , can’t take advice of a bloke who travels 5 hours to the arse’s end to watch a standard of football that warrants 2 1/2 fans , I will keep supporting my side you can go off on your lonely nomadic drunken escapades Your wife can’t be that ugly to warrant that ?
Just to add, Katrien has a very recent interview in a Belgian newspaper, in which she claims she had to travel into work by train every day from London Bridge and Charlton fans threatened to throw her under a train. Vile if so, but also highly questionable given how prone to telling fibs and playing the victim she is. This was the thing that renewed interest in the lady in question when most people were happy enough to forget she existed.
I think Everitt needs to end his vendetta against Meire, particularly when he was always happy to look the other way when his erstwhile mates Murray and Varney screwed the club up.
You know how I feel about Everitt , you just need to look at him every other Saturday desperately trying to sell his comic. The fact he is still trying to stir up crap on Meire shows him up for how bitter he is. As I have said before I have been near him at away games and he never vocally backs the team, but a chance to abuse Meire and his poisonous bloated old face contorts with anger and he is spitting like Roy Hatersley on a rant Our club needs fans with independent thoughts not spoon fed crap from a bitter propaganda merchant , I wish he would **** off as much as RD would He is as wanted as genital warts
If you support what the Belgian is doing that's up to you. My conscience is clear now, so you can say what you like.
