Well done Dave. Great result. I know you must be nervous being only 25 points ahead of the tractor boys at the stage. OFH a good performance for the 'orns but the highlights will tell you all you need to know. As Scullion said the score line rather flatters Liverpool. Well I now have all the ingredients for the puds but needing 30 mins prep then 8 hours steaming I'll wait till the morning. Hope you enjoyed it Yorkie despite the result. And Mex get back to those B'day celebrations Cheers
Afternoon all. Blowing well and periods of rain making it very unattractive outside. Feet up and watch the Davis Cup tennis that has just started.
Morning all. Grey, murky and light rain here this morning, but not cold. I have a small plumbing job to do, which is my pet hate. A tap in the outside loo has developed a drip, and it is awkward to get at. The water supply is turned off at present, but is useful when you are in the garden and don't wish to go through the house. Maybe I will do it, or I could consider the seeds I will want for next Spring.
G'day all. Well sun has come out. A bright day. Yesterday's Christmas pud wasn't up to my expectations. Think it was down to mixing too little salt and baking powder into the flour to replace the self-raising which is almost impossible to buy here. Anyway Spanish family scoffed the lot and didn't notice. But I'm going to mix a bit of Delia (see Dave loyalty was always my strong point ) with Nigella and a hint of Jamie. Hopefully more to my satisfaction tomorrow. And I need a non-alcohol christmas pud for MIL but that is rather against my religion And step-daughter wants a chocolate one which equally is against my religion. But better keep the troops happy I guess. Well Sri Lanka put up a fight for the test but we prevailed in the end. Good series win. OFH I remember me Dad every Jan settling down with 10 seed catalogs filling out his orders. Always Boltardy Beetroot was first on the list. Very happy times. Enjoy one and all.
Morning all. Grey and misty in rural France, but the man at the Météo has put his hand out of the window and forecasts that it will be dry. The supermarkets are now starting to move into Christmas mode, with giant baubles suspended from the ceiling. I found some wine at the weekend that is normally outside my price range for an everyday tipple reduced to half price. I doubt that there will be any left when I return at the end of this week.
Mornin' Dave. Mornin' all. Well a point for the Canaries and 2 home games against lower opposition next. Not so bad. Here chilly and blue skies
Morning all. Grey and not very inviting outside. Still a trip to the baker will be good. The warmth from the ovens, and the smell of freshly baked bread is one of the nice things in life.
