ascot,2 05: a tough and competitive little race, where none can be ruled out with confidence, but the best fresh form is probably supplied by THOMAS DARBY,who beat next time out scorer last time out at cheltenham, and can only get even better.big shout.
This could be an absolute classic race at Ascot next. Thomas Darby clocked a seriously impressive time on hurdles debut at Cheltenham despite running very green when hitting the front. Didtheyleaveuoutto looked a horse with a serious engine when landing a listed bumper at Ascot and just got stuck in the mud in the Champion Bumper. These two could very well be absolute top-notchers. But it is not a 2 horse race. Commanche Red was deeply impressive on hurdles debut, as was Highest Sun in France, and Rock Steady will surely come on for his debut run. Ratoute Yutty bolted up in Ireland on hurdles debut and has now moved to the Skelton yard. I think Didtheyleaveuoutto can take this with his gears but it won't be easy.
Surprised at Dickie letting that develop into a sprint, he must have know the winner has serious gears
catterick,2 25: this can go to the unexposed SCENTED LILY.has gone up 5 lbr for her last win,but the way,she finished, could be a force over staying trips.so,has the profile to get better, and more to come..
ascot,2 40: one horse,i like a lot is VALUE AT RISK.hes prone to the odd mistake, but is very classy on his day,and looks solid e w value..
ascot,3 15: another strong handicap chase, and LE BOIZELO is a rather tentative choice, but he ran better on his last run, than it looks.he travelled really smoothly there, before unseating 3 out,and is not impossibly treated at all.so,he can give his talented trainer/jockey a fine double on the day..
