i went on secondment for 3 months and 17 years later they retired me on medical grounds.Thanks mate and yeah it's definitely one foot in the door. Been helping out with it for a month or so anyway and they wanted me over there full time, and as my place know I want to leave they were happy to do it.
This project finishes in February but there's a phase two which will be another year...

Most of the time i worked to pay the bills but had one period where i really enjoyed my job (lasted about 6 years) so much so i turned down promotion as i knew i wouldn't enjoy the offered job as much if at all.Do a good job and you're halfway there!

Haven't enjoyed my job in 13 years.
It's easy so I stick with it.
