Think about this for a minute Matthew ... do you think your Grandad would want you to be all sad, maudlin and moody at Christmas? I'll bet he wouldn't ... now yes ... you can't help but be a little bit sad ... but enjoy your Christmas as he would have wanted you to and raise a glass of something on Christmas day to his memory ... I still do that for my mum and dad even now ... and the old man died when I was just 19 and the old girl back in 2006 ... gone but never forgotten ... and both of them live on in me and my kids ...
Put the past behind you and look forward that's what people who get left behind would want. It's nice to remember people with fondness and celebrate their life other than being unhappy about it.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. No work on either Christmas day or Boxing day and my lads a brilliant age for it. Be a weird one not drinking this year and actually looking forward to that bit too.
