absolutely so.grand horse this..as for sharp response, not sure, what it was, maybe too tough race,or the trip,i dont know.. the big one at cheltenham is coming up,and heres my verdict: hard to split my two favourites here,SHANTOU VILLAGE and guitar pete, but i think, the former might be building up to something big,on account of his last two runs.especially his second-last run in ireland was very promising, and possibly, the trip was too long last time out,but he still ran with credit there..so,at least today,he gets my vote..e w vlaue..
Easiest race on the Cheltenham card next. Mr Whitaker all day long. Or Baron Alco. Or Rather Be. And maybe Kalondra
A lot of if onlys in that race. Happy Diva going very nicely when brought down at the top of the hill
4th...I think thats it for me today...small loss today.. Talk about eventful ...I m not sure how Mr Whitaker got me a return...race before bit unlucky...that's racing folks! Oh great flat racing at Lingfield on now...a big YAWN compared to what we 've just seen..
cheltenham,3 00: hard to evaluate, what SWEET HOME CHICAGO is capable off,and hes got a hefty hike up the ratings, but he won his last two races with authority, especially beating a horse that was rated 20 lbr higher than him last time out,so there could be easily more in the locker still..decent e w claims..
Debating on itv what the punishment should be for excessive use of the whip. Surely removing the whip from racing would be the simplest and best solution
You'll get nowhere with logical solutions like that Denny! Lots of racing professionals have endorsed this in the past and been ignored. My own solution is a remotely operated buzzer up the horse's arse. Sadly - my solution has as much chance of being adopted as yours
Sharp Response travelled OK and held a good position in 5th but he just didn't respond and despite the weight he was receiving from most of the field he weakened disappointingly. Huge effort from Coneygree under his burden but the big question will be whether he can go on from this and stay in top shape. Winner Rock The Kasbah is a horse I felt had one of these 3m2f to 3m4f races in him and I backed him early in the year in the Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock over an extended 3 miles, feeling the heavy ground would make it a real test. He never travelled that day for a yard and was pulled up. Hey ho, maybe he hates heavy, as the onlyother time he ran on it he was beaten at odds of 2/7 Fav.
cheltenham,3 30: LUNGARNO PALACE and christmal in april were not far apart last time out here, but still the latter is much shorter in the betting,so i go with the o brien horse,in the hope,he can turn the form around today..
You could probably also tackle the issue of non-triers by placing a similar buzzer up the jockeys arse, with the remote handed to the punter that lumped on the most cash.
wetherby,3 50: only the two here, but two exciting recruits to chasing, and i have the feel,RAVENHILL ROAD has maybe a bit more potential than hawk high.he was a very promising bumper/hurdles horse last season, and can take this with a clear round today..
Mega Yeats in the bumper stick (Will have it all on to beat Mullins and Nicholls runners who hold top form)
