    But am i?

Everything i've said is true. Now people are stooping to the level of his looks. That's when they have lost the arguement.

Beckham was very good, not the best, but very good, like i've already said.

    But carry on.

No mate, it was the Dr Who comment <laugh> I'm not knocking Beckham, and I'm not 'stooping' about his looks. Just saying that the undoubtedly helped his career (both inside and outside of football).

The comment about him coming along at the right time in that Utd team stands. Because they were the best team on the planet at the time and allowed him to express his talents to the full.

He was one of the youmg'uns that just happened to make, maybe the best team the Prem will ever see.

I'll trust SAF judgement if he was worthy.

Mo Johnson, Frank Macivenney, Charlie Nicholas, Kevin Keegan and many more were great players in their day but they were recognised by their footballing ability and were football stars.

Beckham as a lad that always came across as a gentleman, with a voice like a frustrated parrot married a Spice Girl and for them and as long as they were in the eye in their careers, the media were right behind them. David Beckhams football skills didn't make him the public figure he is today, the media hype did.. Brooklyn Beckham a professional photographer ffs... <doh>

Matthew Taylor did the same for Portsmouth against us in 2005, one of the best goals I have seen at the SOL.. He could dribble a ball too, pass a ball to the feet and read the game better than the ref. But he had a plain ordinary face, must be ****e being such a good footballer and having a face like a wasps nest.. The media were only interested in this lad because he played for Manchester United, was better looking at the time than Scholes and Butt and put a shift in behind his peroxide highlights..

Beckham was a great dead ball specialist and crosser of the ball.

Not at all.. It was Giggs before him until he turned up. Remember, the influx our media have of over hyping someone, then Beckham was right in there. I remember Giggs at 17 and SAF saying he will protect him from the media. If the Mail tomorrow ran a headline of 'Comm shags Beckham and Posh is annoyed', would you believe it? Or man in Sunderland called Comm caught shagging hens, or man in Sunderland called Comm caught stealing light bulbs out of B&Q would you believe it? The thing is the media want you to believe what they print..<ok>

On a footnote, did you get me a couple of 12w <laugh>

haha, don't beat yourself up mate, I have a hell of a lot of time for you. I don't like what Beckham has become simply because of his talentless wife and B&Q are ok for the winter pansies and a place to escape if you get lucky haha, staff are easy to spot in Orange and all look like there's a problem..<ok>

Charlie Adam. Good goal from a complete ****:

Adam's a cynical butcher, which is very annoying to me, as he's actually a very talented player with **** fitness and athleticism.
