Read that link - he's going on about it referring to a move to West Brom and bookies losing money when I thought it'd moved along from there to it not being about West Brom or bookies losing anything. Confused ....
I think its just the Telegraph that has said it was because of the Inter Milan bet as the FA haven't given any further information it could be about anything. But reading that link does look like bookies can throw there toys out the pram if they lose to much money and report it to the FA as suspicious.
"He didn’t create this market. The bookmakers did. And now he has to watch what he says for a month because an industry in which he has no part is making money off his back?" #endof
I don't think it's as simple as ban all bets on x. I think there has to be more burden of proof that a real insider breach has occurred. One man betting 10,000 on a second hand bit of info for me doesn't do it.
Generally speaking it's usually only one source which is picked up by other outlets and repeated, quoting the original source. I'm wondering what took 8 months [or should that be 10 months - Jan>Nov] to investigate. The length of time suggests there may be several bets because what's been reported so far couldn't have taken very long to track down.

latest is that fa have demanded sturridges phone records. why has it taken this long to request, sorry demand his phone records? certainly an agenda going on here from fa and they are running out of things to find, or why taken this long to get to this stage. on vbetnews.com but owner of site has banned ip addresses as from gb!! lol
Newsflash: Sturridge made several calls to family members around the time of moving home. String him up.
not sure what part of my post you are referring to? i queried why has it taken this long for fa to demand!! ask for his phone records. they stringing this out so it looks good for expenses, when the money could be better spent elsewhere like grass roots football!! not meeting in a posh restaurant all the time to discuss how to hamstring a player. about time the fa was properly investigated!! sham of an organization.
