(sorry for straying from the topic)

Obertan, for me anyway, doesn't defend. Yes he tracks back, but he's not very good at it

I would use Obertan as an impact sub, or maybe part of a 5 man midfield

Ferguson is not ready (and injured i think), and the reason i would put Benny there is for balance

I think Santon will be deployed at LB, so that leaves Raylor and Simpson to battle it out for RB

This just shows how gullible you are really..

You just barked at him for nothing. It's pretty obvious he just outwitted you by using nothing..that's actually quite hilarious..<laugh>

Can't say i'd miss him much to be honest. He's been a decent servant, but he's the weakest link in the defence, if not team at the moment (in my opinion anyway)

I think we're pretty weak up front, especially creating chances

Agreed on Simpson though, i like him as a pro

Not a very good defender though, and is starting to become a liability

I can see him leaving as well, sounds like he almost left last week

back 4 of Santon Taylor Colo Pieters looks fantastic to me. Probably just a pipe dream though <whistle> Part of me wants to keep Simmo though because at least he's frickin' English. I want SOME English players <laugh>

Seems like an all round nice guy too. Plus that picture of him barking at Hernandez is the best thing ever

<laugh> that sort of thing is the only real reason i'd want him to stay!

It is a shame that we're losing English players, but for me, it's more about getting in good players, and all the good English players are bloody expensive!

As long as we can get a decent amount of money for him, and he doesn't leave in a twattish manner i'm happy enough for him to go <ok>

This. Next summer we should get Sturridge, Dann, Onuoha and players like that. But, we will get some Frenchman no doubt

    That's the dream.

Also, I'd play Marv on the right, Jonas on the left

Aye, there's always been that argument of having English grit in the team. And it's been mentioned a few times. But, to be honest, where the hell is English grit going to get us if the players aren't good enough in the first place? Typical English. We'll lose but oh yes at least we can say we gave it a bloody good go! I've said it before, but French flair over English grit! It was English grit and determination from the likes of Barton and Nolan that got us that 4-4 draw. But it was a mixture of their shoddy abilities in the first half that made us go 4-0 down in the first place! (Not entirely the English players I know, but gimme a break ha)

As Rumsfield said, I'll miss the pride of a mostly English team. But if we're winning, I'll be happy <diva>

Ah the English grit argument. Makes no ****ing sense when all that grit get's us beaten 5-1 by Bolton though <laugh>

If Cabaye literally didnt give a **** about football I'd still rather play him than Nolan.

Why not go the whole hog, and play Krul up front?

Exactly <laugh> Don't care about the nationality. Makes no difference. If they're good enough to win games, that's good enough for me.

You equate playing wingers on the wrong side (very effective and modern tactic) with putting Krul up front?

Krul up front? Don't be silly. Everyone knows Harper should be playing up front!
    That's why Krul's number 1 goalie, isn't it? <doh> Goddd

In all seriousness though, I really like the idea of inverted wingers! It seems exciting <laugh>

Calling it 'the wrong side' doesn't exactly help your case there Smudger <laugh>

Inverted wingers then. Ronaldo, Messi, Hulk all play on the "wrong" side.
