Scary but we could use other options. Salah up top Shaqiri on the left for example.

Salah playing up top is exactly part of the problem we have this season.

    We need another striker

So it was nothing to do with going to West Brom or bookies losing money, they merely reported it <laugh>

Somebody in the West Midlands placed a five figure bet on Sturridge going on loan to Inter......

"The man, from a modest background, wagered the huge bet on the England player joining Inter Milan on loan during last January's transfer window. Just days later, however, Sturridge instead joined West Brom for the remainder of the season.

Given the spectacular failure of the bet, there is no suggestion that Sturridge was involved, but the transaction startled bosses at a leading bookmaker who suspected the gambler might have obtained what he believed was insider information. The Football Association has refused to confirm whether it is considering the bet in relation to its investigation into Sturridge for alleged gambling breaches." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...ced-daniel-sturridge-leaving-liverpool-inter/

That's seriously what sturridge is being done for.

    Ffs!!

And if sturridge was involved and the bet backfired wouldn't the person who made the bet be seriously pissed off and made ramifications for sturridge at some point.

    Fa are a ****ing joke.

Why would millionaire Sturridge have anything to do with a 5 figure losing bet?

I guarantee larger bets have been placed on Man Utd's pathetic performances so where's the investigation for them?

guy you cannot mess round with betting. the system is it is reported and investigated.

If one person bet 10k on him joining inter (5 figures)

    a) why would bookie take bet in first place? (answer is obvious, he was a season gambler they didn't want to refuse)

    b) how on earth can they prove anything bar this one person saying sturrdige told him so?

    c) how can they CHARGE a player on this basis?

This surely can not be right,

Someone makes a stupid bet, because some bloke in the pub told him he knew Dannies brothers mates plumber and he reckons he's going to inter.

**** sake, not even the fa can be this ****ing stupid.

Personally i would be amazed if the FA don't have some fairly incriminating evidence or else in a case like this they wouldn't have charged Sturridge imo

Evra told them he saw Sturridge betting on games 10 times

But he later claimed it was just a figure of speech

Yes, he gambled on the ball being played by running in behind.

    How dare he.
