Yep agree with that but also Deulofeu should have been booked for discent to the linesman whilst he was on a yellow so should have been sent off as well.
I’m now in the new manager camp. Yes we played with passion and worked hard. But we look disjointed and zero tactics have been put in place.
I'm not happy about only one point at home again but I thought that the balance and cohesion looked better and there were some nice passages of football around their penalty area which resulted in attempts on goal too.
To be honest, a point against Watford isn’t a bad result. I actually really rate them, they’re a very strong team. It’s just the compounded effect of the year in general which makes it disappointing.
Fulham looked to have had a good goal ruled out for off side, the scorer wasn't, Scouse went straight up the other end and Salah scored.
There's been moments like that in almost every game, even last week in the second half against City. I was playing footie down the park the other week, and a dog ran on and got hold of our ball. For a moment I thought, "hold on, this fella looks a bit tasty", before it then sarted trying to **** the ball.
Thinking about it there might be a fitness issue behind the team's inability to see out games and keep on letting in late goals and I suppose that is down to the manager and his staff.
I'm going to take some positives from this (after recovering from being spitting mad)...it's a point (when every point is valuable), we have scored from open play (though one disallowed), Bertrand has found Fonte's invisibility shirt, and there are still worse teams than us. Doesn't overcome the rage at losing 2 points, but I can still see us scratching enough points together by the end of the season. But can the person at SMS who keeps kicking black cats please stop.
After a quick piece of research we have let in a goal in the last five minutes a total of seven times in different matches this season.
Strewth why oh why are we condeming Charlie for his passionate outburst....... .Football is passionate game.........there is so much frustration when a ref seemingly in your mind makes a rash judgement. Do you that criticise Charlie not think had it been you playing and the ref made such an obvious mistake that you wouldn’t have had something to say about it? I’m pretty sure most on here wouldn’t have just said......oh that is just one of those things....... come on get real........
The problem is, we have already played Brighton, Burnley, Newcastle, Watford etc who we failed to win against at home. It's going to come down to beating the top teams at home to stay up!
Or alternatively (as I've actually posted on here already today), once we get through December, our nine home matches in 2019 read: Everton, Palace, Cardiff, Fulham, Spurs, Liverpool, Wolves, Bmouth, Huddersfield. That runs includes all the promoted clubs from last season. That run includes all four sides who currently sit with us in the bottom five. That run includes the only two sides who we've managed to beat at home in the last 12 months. That run includes just two of the big six (both of whom could be embroiled with Thursday night football come March/April). If only we were any good at home...
Obviously it's better than having all the upper half still to play at home, but still...I really don't currently have any faith that we can make the most of those fixtures. Though if we are to stay up we probably need to.
Apologies if this has already been covered but I was more upset with Cedric turning his back on the ball than the disallowed goal. We are 1-0 up and close to the end...I would expect him to face the ball and stop it with his face a la John Terry if needed. Thought it was weak.
