IMO, the' Top of the League' chants are fully deserved, especially so for the thousands of fans who sat through the absolute garbage of last season, but as I was saying to another fan today, I could see the beginnings of what DF was trying to achieve last season.
I have decided to quit my job to become a full time Sports journalist, on the back of my match day threads
Does anyone know what happened in the Millwall Fans area mid-second half? I suddenly noticed loads of police holding the crowd back and getting into the stand. Then a little bit later I noticed police and medics around a camera man bellow them, and they had to circle him and help him off the pitch? Did his get hurt in the swarm of Millwall fans trying to get onto the pitch? Or hit by something thrown? It didn't look very good. The camera man looked really wobbly. Anyone heard anything about that?
That roar from the crowd as we approached the half way line, then explosion when the goal goes in! I think we did our bit yesterday. Also, loved this from Leitner:
EXACTLY what DF says in this tweet from PD - Even I'm struggling to understand how DF has turned things around with this team, few of whom we’d even heard of – recruits from the German 2nd division, an unwanted GK who had supposedly lost his ‘mojo’ (IMO, he had a poor game yesterday!!) and 3 Academy players who are ALL playing their part in every game. Perhaps, just perhaps; last season was equivalent to our drop into league 1 and Pukki is our GH replacement – his 2 goals yesterday were unreal and he is most certainly on the list of players that we MUST keep at all costs. JR’s goal was well taken as well and what can you say about Leitner’s goal and his overall play. I’m SOOOO pleased that I decided to get an ST this season and I know several fans who gave them up last season are now REALLY regretting being so hasty. .
EXACTLY what DF says in this tweet from PD -
Ah nice! I haven't seen that quote or tweet. Cheers JM.
Just found this and look at JR rushing across to congratulate him - Edit - Did Mariott score yesterday Dunc??? Oh no, the lost 3-0. .
Thanks for those FML and very interesting. I’ve just found this on the Canaries’ website - “After conceding those two goals [in the second-half] we had to change something and to give the team some belief, so we changed our system to three, five, two and all compliments go to my lads because you can have an idea as a head coach but it’s up to the players to fulfil this on the pitch. "And the way we scored our goals was not coincidence or luck, they were unbelievable goals with a world-class pass from Emi Buendia and ice-cold finish of Jordan Rhodes and then a pass full of class from Mario Vrancic and a finish of big will from Teemu Pukki. It’s outstanding to have this character in my team and I think everyone at Carrow Road can be very proud and happy.” #happydays https://twitter.com/i/topics/news/e-467153982?cn=ZmxleGlibGVfcmVjc18y&refsrc=email I CAN'T agree with PD giving Krul a 7 - 5 MAX!!!!
I think the commentary are a bit kind to Pukki there. He was in the right spot but the QPR defender got the ball, it then hits one of Pukki’s feet, into his other shin, bobbles over the keeper and edges across the line. I mean, I’ll take it, but that was a total fluke
The throw out was a bad mistake, but Krul was trying to do the right thing to get an attack going. Great that the late goals made that and the missed penalty irrelevant in the end. Also glad that Millwall's time wasting didn't pay off in the end. Edit: Gary Gowers take on it: http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...arra-as-city-head-to-florida-top-of-the-pile/
