i bloody hate alan smith huge wages and i just know he will get like one game, it will be at the expense of somebody useful like vuckic, gosling, abeid AND he will cost us the game with a mistake **** alan smith, greedy twat at least mcloven is cheap and a nice person and perch is cheap and youngish
Still pisses me off that Smith is still here. Perch is ok because his wages are relatively low and he's still young, but Smith... Pretty much as expected though, all the senior players and no new striker.
I don't mind Perch being there, as he can play CB pretty well. Smith is there as the 4th choice DM, behind Tiote, Cabaye and Guthrie. But, who else is there we could put in the squad, besides the youngsters who don't have to count as part of the 25 men?
Whats everyone's problem with Smith? He's supposed to be great for the spirit in the dressing room and apparently he helps the youngsters in there development. He isn't the same play since his injury at Manure but he is still good enough for 4th choice cover and he always tries his best for the club.
He still puts the effort in but he's just so **** it makes me sad. No coincidence we managed to throw away a 3 goal lead v West Brom when Smith came on.
He wasn't at fault for the goals, I can't remember to well but I think it was Simpson, Colo and Saylor making errors or being positionally inept in Simpson's case. I can't remember that well so I may be wrong but I'm fairly certain we didn't concede 3 goals because of Smith. I think a lot of people are being a little bit too harsh on him. I agree that he is no longer good enough as a result of his injury and the fact he is getting older but the experience he offers the young players and the presence he brings to the dressing room is good. Also he isn't bad for a 4th choice is he? Have a look at the 4th choice for other clubs.

We were never going to leave Smith or Perch out as our squad is only 21 over 21's. So as long as they are here they are going to be in the 25 man squad

He came on just before the goal. Soon as he came on I knew Fulham would score. Just after that goal he gave away another stupid freekick and got booked. He is piss poor now
