Hello, team. Really think Lieutenant Henderson will have a good day of the morrow with plenty, and I do mean plenty, of winners. Three cheers, say I. The highlights for me would be - At Market Rasen I’d expect CASABLANCA MIX to get back in the winners enclosure after the Listed Mares Chase (2.05). She is a mare I’ve always rated, and can in time see her winning Graded affairs, but the old girl has in the past had her jumping issues. However, I’m sure the Lieutenant, ably assisted by his Privates, has worked hard to ensure that these are a thing of the past. In Nicky ‘Enders we trust after all. God bless him and save him! LUST FOR GLORY (2.25 Newbury) has ran twice for the great man and after a highly promising stable debut romped home, in a bumper, at Ludlow in May. I would expect her to take high rank amongst this terms novice hurdlers and am greatly looking forward to her bow over the sticks of the morrow. 20/1 is incidentally, currently, available for the ‘Mares Novice’ heat at the Festival. Plus, troops, we also have another ‘Pertemps Qualifier’ at the Berkshire venue (2.55) which is always good fun. More plots than an Agatha Christie novel and all that… Good luck all.
After a lean week so far ( 2 winners only), it's going back to picking horses purely by their name and hoping for the best today. E/w singles and e/w double. 400 Newbury - Fifth Symphony 14/1 515 Chelmsford - Fortissimo 15/2
Whatever works, Resurgam. I've taken 18's e/w on FOB's River of Intrigue @ M/Ras, purely because the 8's tissue price has more than doubled & I can't work out why. Intrigued, you might call it - though I'm pretty sure Stick would be calling it Madness...
hi fellas! newbury,1 15: MR FISHER won well on his debut on the spring, and even if beaten on his next start, that came in a hot bumper at aintree, and some of his rivals then have boosted the form since, and he wasnt beaten that far.so,he looks quite solid here as a favourite..
well, what can you say?thats why these novices are so hard to work out, theres always a chance of a shock result..thats racing.. newbury,1 50: LA BAGUE AU ROI is a mare,i am very fond of.she rarely lets me down, and if taking to fences, can make her mark as a chaser..
wow, jumped fantastically today!!i think, she can take high rank in the novice chase division this season! newbury,2 25: posh trish won well enough on her hurdling debut a few weeks ago,and is much respected, but the dark horse might well be DUHALLOW GESTURE.has ran to a high level in bumpers last season, and has won fresh before,so the break isnt really a worry..could be very useful..
sedgefield,2 45: most of these are getting rather long in the tooth,as does NOTONEBUTTWO,but he at least has shown some good form recently, especially 3 starts back, when falling, when in the lead, and also his second place two starts back to a thriving rival isnt too shabby.disapponted last time out,but this looks a bit easier here..
newbury,3 30: pretty open race.SILVERHOW had a very good season last season, and even his first run back this season wasnt devoid of promise,as he might have needed the race, but the form is working out quite well now,so he ll strip fitter today..
newbury,4 00: another tough bumper,as theres virtually no form to go on,but i take a chance on LORD WALSINGHAM here.he showed next to nothing on his debut, but maybe on better ground today,he can give a better account of himself.also interesting, that he was quite well fancied that day,so might be a good bit better than the bare form..
Next new system. Put all racing papers on a wall, and throw three darts blindfolded at them. Can't do any worse than actually picking them at the bloody moment
