ah i remember dora's or circle's as it was known in the late 70's fantastic club with the cream of uk punk playing there, only once went to the valbonne got my head kicked in within 10 minutes, wrong trousers/haircut methinks. loved the coach and horses too, played (badly) there and circles a few times myself. not to mention a few other places for bands, SSA bar in union st, townhill tech etc. and also being a gower boy i remember the langrove for it's school 18 birthday parties.

Musty, Just trying to work out which one of us has been away the longest. Things I head for when I go home:
Cockles, laverbread and welsh cakes in the market. Remember Macpherson's in Oxford Street? I used to work there on weekends when I was a boy. Best ***gots ever! Don't know what was in them though. There there are the trappings of a mis spent youth.
Tiffany's/Nutz, The Surf House, Cinderellas, The Top Rank, Martha's!
    Sigh !!!

Secrets down the mumbles mile and Old Nicks, the old seamens church, poles apart in music taste but both fondly remembered. things i miss are mostly time, space, clean air, clean beaches (esp pwll-ddu and three cliffs), swansea humour, old swansea punks and of course live football, tho i always manage to get back for a few games each year - not sure i'll be able to get tickets this year

"The Valbonne",wasn't that Bonnie Tylers place?

Most of the establishments already mentioned are familiar to me,but what about places like The Mackworth,The Bush, former jewels of High Street.

What about all the defunct cinemas? The Elysium,The Castle,The Albert Hall,The Plaza,The Carlton, and the one down the bottom of Wind Street, whose
    name escapes me.

Anyone remember two of my favourite eateries from yesteryear,"Schmoo's",and "Greene's",both near the old Swansea Hospital?

i ate a few curries at the Bombay and lived to tell the tale..It has to be said curry has moved on since those days..you had mild medium or hot..chicken was on the bone...and the alternative was "Meat"..we never asked what meat..there was a naughty urban myth about Alsations and Jack Russell hanging on meat-hooks in the kitchen..but this never deterred the punters..i also remember the name in big white letters on the roof
