... because he did things he didn't have to do beyond football and didn't seek publicity for doing it ... as simple as that ...

You mean the things that the media reported after his death?

You've already make a major **** up by bringing Bradley into this. Don't you think you should **** off to bed before you really **** it up?

He was a guy from humble beginnings who built a remarkably successful business but never forgot where he had come from and gave something back .... both in his native Thailand and also in his adopted city in the UK ... he didn't need to do either ... he could just have been the Chairman ...

Definitely much more than football related. A genuinely good human being.

I disagree ... you asked why you should give a **** ... I told you .. neither of them deserved their fates .. Bradley because he was an innocent ... Vichai because he was one of the good guys ... and we should always give a **** when an untimely death happens...

It's certainly more of a Leicester thing, undoubtedly ... but the media have embraced it because of the type of person he was ... don't see the problem ...

No ... the reason it has become national news is because of football and, in particular, the global appeal of the Premier league ...

Ask yourself this ... why did Bradley's story impact outside of his local area? .. don't go all hissy and get defensive ... there is only one reason ... the association with football and a footballer ... how many other kids with similar conditions have passed away and you have never heard of them?

It's football that can put such tragedy in the spot light and some good can from that.

How many people will have been motivated to give to cancer charities as a result?

Bradley's story didn't make me by the way ... because I was already giving. I've lost several family members to cancer and my ex-wife's brother died of Leukaemia at 11 ... you wouldn't have read about it in the news ... there was no football angle.

... but I don't mind admitting I shed a tear for Bradley ... anybody who wasn't moved by his story would have to be a proper ****...but without football, and the associated press coverage as a result, nobody outside his local community would have known about him.

If Vichai's death and it's associated press coverage encourages or shames football's mega rich to give more back ... then its' irritating your miniscule cranium for a week or two seems a small price to pay <cheers>

Correct, I thought of the same example a day or so ago when I saw people starting to basically slag Vichai off because of the coverage it’s getting. How many children die each day? Loads but Bradley raised awareness and did great things to help children going forward and it was a moving story. Just like Vichai did so much for our area and was the dream owner. Different ages and completely contrasting outcomes to life but both football connected stories with someone with a legacy....
The media have over done it yes and it should now be left to those in Leicester. But would it also not be a novel idea for those who either weren’t bothered by the story to start with or have lost interest now to just not comment on it anymore rather than comment negatively? Sign of the times unfortunately.

No disrespect intended here, but i also think it's a sign of the times, when the media along with social media constantly play out events. That in itself creates negative vibes. It's the same cycle with the media every time an event happens, I'm least affected because i took the simple option many years ago to switch it off.

It's a sad tragic event that happened in Leicester, and i paid my respect with around 5k other lower league supporters on Saturday, but i also think it is with Leicester supporters to say, hey guys, enough is enough now, let us pay our respects in peace.

Comm gave an example the other day of an unknown old guy that has died in the UK since that tragic day, he was stuck alone for 3 days with no one to help him, there is no mourning for his death. Wealth appears to get you more respect than poverty, homelessness, loneliness and old age, but hey that's the world and it's never going to change, but don't be overly surprised when people start to comment contrary to the flow of the tide.

I don't honestly think people are commenting negatively at Leicester, it's more about how these type of events constantly play out. I remember Kay Burley get pulled up for it once with great criticism, how she over dramatised things as a journalist with no sense of feeling in her behaviour. Basically they are leeches and they feed off your mourning, now to me that's far more disrespectful than any comments on here.

Millionaire footballer drives his £300k car to Leicester to light a candle pull a sad face and take a selfie to show his Twitter followers what a virtuous guy he is .

    #sosad :(

I found the game against Cardiff a bit of a circus I was watching live on NBCSN, It was almost as if Cardiff weren't allowed to win out of respect for the dead Leicester owner.
They are struggling for points and will probably get relegated, now I wonder how long Leicester will drag this on guilting the opposition into feeling sorry for them ?

Imagine the response if Cardiff smashed them 4-0 would the players even be allowed to celebrate the goals ?

It was a shame , now it's Just a Leicester thing I have already moved on.

I agree with a lot of what you say ... I am carrying an avatar as a sign of both respect and as a thank you for his key contribution in making my widest football dreams come true - but I will change that at the end of this week when his funeral ceremony is over - and move on looking forward to the future whilst always having a place for the guy in my heart and memories - the tribute in my signature will stay longer.<ok>

You do talk out of your arse Si - both teams were giving it their all after the whistle went and Cardiff were very much outplayed ... and if Lee Probert had adhered as strictly to the rules for Sol Bamba's cracking save as he did for booking Demarai Gray's goal celebration, then the scoreline would have been a truer reflection of the game ...

... and as for moving on <doh> ... you were vainly attempting to be "edgy" almost immediately after the crash Si ... once a **** always a **** Si <laugh>
