I don’t need to name a club he’s done a bad job with. I have no doubt he’d do a job for us. It’s just a route I don’t want us taking. Tell me more about the Gino/Paul Young story
...did 2 years in prison for it https://metro.co.uk/2018/08/15/gino...ngs-house-stole-recordings-late-wife-7840816/ Though as they say, he has served his time, so clean slate i suppose and he has turned his life around. Was 1998 not the 80s as I previously said.
To be fair I didn't until a few months ago. Two ways of looking at it I see - He is a cock and should never be forgiven, or wow what a turnaround and some good has come from it. I'm going with the latter. Especially as I made his crab linguine tonight from his latest show and it was AMAZING! Also, nothing to do with BFS as he hasn't been in prison yet, but goes to show that we don't really know people
Well that was fun Go to a place like that and 'defend' in that manner then you'll get nothing but a spanking, City weren't actually that good tbh but didn't need to be. Over as a contest after 15 minutes and second half was essentially played at a testimonial pace. Btw never seen such a good team with such a miserable bunch of fans, starting to take things for granted me thinks. 3hr 40 on the way up and 4 back with a stop so not bad, 50mph limits on M6 are a **** though. Lemina and (especially) Armstrong can **** clean off. At least insurance bet came in Chant of the day: How **** must you be, we just scored a goal
Staying with Saints fans who live North of Rochdale. Have poured significant amounts of alcohol post match, it still hurts. Redmond excepted, McCarthy not to blame, gutless, clueless, pointless... We have some good players, but the sum of the parts, is less than the whole. Could it be the coaching?
^^ c+p'd post just made on another board. Gonna have a read through now, looking forward to this... likes incoming
That's what the Americans think of cricket, so its about even. My thought is when in Rome, took me a while to understand the rules, but like anything, if you get the bug early it stays with you. So about the game, I was watching the NBC sports pre-game show and the question came up "what has happened to Southampton" over the last three years and what do the fans have to look forward to, one of the pundits said that we let or best players and managers leave the club and for awhile we were replacing like for like but recently we have regressed with replacing with lesser talented players. We have under performed with the talent of players that we have bought over the last few years, but you really cant say we let our best players leave, they left for more money and the ambition to play for better teams, I am not sure even if we had matched the wages that Liverpool or United were offering, that the players would have stayed. The difference between us and City today was quite staggering, if I was a neutral I would not believe that both teams were in the same division, the gap in quality was appalling. I honestly believe there is not a team in the PL that we can hold up our hand and say, we can beat--------, fill in the blanks (Cardiff, Fulham, Huddersfield, Watford, etc.)
Yep really got into it this season. Be great to get into the Super Bowl this year seeing as it is in Atlanta Not going to happen. My sporting life has never been that good
It's my favourite sport now. Don't really know anyone who has given it a proper chance who doesn't like it at least a little bit. It is a pretty big commitment at the start though due to how long it takes, but watching with someone who knows the sport a bit helps massively. But back to Saints, I see Hughes is now favourite for next manager to go (though that will change I would imagine if there is a winner in tomorrows game)
Oh dear oh dear.....we didn’t turn up today........one would have thought Sparky would by now have discovered his best team. I will be surprised if he lasts beyond the next two/three matches if there isn’t any improvement. If we’re not in a better league position by then even I will be baying for him to go. As I fear he is not the one to lead us back up the league......
Yep the turning point for me was going to the Mercedes Stadium last year to see the Falcons against the Tampa Buccaneers with my US son in law. Got a real insight to all the intricacies of the game etc. Watch it every Sunday now when I can. I actually like the stop start nature of it as it is more relaxed. It still hasn't replaced the passion of football for me though - there really are moments in my life that unless you are a football fan you really will never get it Anyway like you to get back on topic and not get the wrath of the mods, I don't think MH will necessarily be the next to go - we hung on to a totally incompetent manager until it was almost too late, so the least they can do is give him a little longer against the teams around us. Sad really, as the teams around us used to be Man C, Man U, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal.....
