Not really that much of a surprise to be honest.

Take out the figures and everyone has been saying that for donkeys ages.

And what will happen to them?

They will get a massive fine, which they can easily afford.

If they just started banning clubs from European competition, it might have the desired effect.

I dont think they count the owner not using the club revenue to strengthen the playing squad as financially unfair. We should be fine.

Talk is growing Of a European super league with Man Utd, Citeh, Liverpool, Chelski and Arsenal breaking away and no relegation or promotion system.

    I say do it, go.

We then deregister players and stop anyone in the breakaway league playing for their international team.

What we have left is a more competitive league.

Hi honestly think that if there’s a league of say 10 teams, fans will get bored of watching 4 matches against the same team... and the expense of travelling across Europe each weekend.

We’ll see more teams like FC United rise out of the ashes.

Aye. if we could get UEFA to bar them from the Champions League, the thing would die in a season. I think it would anyway, to be fair.

Monetary fines are pointless, but docking them a hefty wedge of points would really hit them hard.

I agree. A 20 point deduction would do for starters.

They do... but it’s generally smaller clubs from none of the big countries where it won’t hurt UEFA.

Uefa won’t ban anyone important from the CL because they’re scared it will be the catalyst for european super lesgue.

Yup. I love seeing Liverpool play Madrid, Barca, psg in the CL. It’s somehing exciting and doesn’t happen often and under the lights at Anfield just a spectacular sight.

Play them every other week in some super league and that novelty wears off and you lose all that appeal. People talk about it making the clubs richer but I don’t see it getting anymore money than the PL currently make, maybe other clubs would be more interested where they don’t earn our tv money though

Simple. Any club that breaks away should be banned from rejoining the league when it all goes pear shaped. Secondly, any player that signs for one of the breakaway clubs should be banned from playing a game for any other club or national side for life.

Do the FA have the balls though? I doubt it.

It’s funny that City owners thought they’d be able to hide it really, they’ve got about 70 fans at a push so It’s inevitable that their ridiculously warped turnover would get rumbled sooner or later.
