Just back from Blackburn. One of the most boring games to witness yet I thought our defensive display was good. I understood and appreciated the tactics of counter attacking and it nearly paid off for us. The ref ruined this game from The 1st minute, booking Luongo for jostling to win the ball!! Ridiculous yet their left back was at it all game!! Disappointed in Wells up top. Very little service but his starting position always seemed off the pace to me. A draw would have been a fair and good result but I'm not too disheartened by the loss, as we were nearly impossible to penetrate.

It was a penalty. Silly by Scowen.

All our attackers (bar Smith as he was only on for a minute) were pretty useless today.

I think Eze was the wrong player for this kind of game. Freeman should have been in that position with someone else on left.

    All good Uber & people.

Without making excuses, lve had poor health of late and the post just hit a nerve. In hindsight, lve taken it the wrong way and should have known better with Uber for he often makes humorous tongue in cheek comments, like myself.

    My apologies too.

    As you were people......

I’ve watched it a few times now, albeit all from that one angle, and I can’t see how it’s a penalty.

Does look a bit of a soft pen. Shoulder to shoulder barge; ball was away when the trip occurred - looked 50-50 (foot out - unintentionally - Blackburn Guy almost trod on Him and he went over). Certainly wasn’t an intentional foul to deprive the player of an opportunity to score where they were in contact.
I wouldn’t have been happy to lose to that decision.

Ollie on the EFL show debating the penalty " It matters to me, Super Hoops, it matters to me" clearly still has much love for us.

I suspect many supporters writing they'd take a point on the forums, rubs off on the Team and Management. Looking back at yesterdays performance now it feels like we never really gave everything to score until we went a goal down, we were all about not conceding. Playing to win is more likely to get us a point or 3, playing to draw gets a point or like yesterday none at all. Maybe it was just the enforced changes, Eze and Wells having bad days, and Scowen a brainfart, but the desire to win so clear last week, was gone yesterday.

To me, that really was no penalty, looked as though Scowen took the ball, and he wasn't going anywhere.
Can feel agreived over that one
    Lucky lucky Blackburn

Don't really agree with that. Let's be honest, we have been outplayed in the last few games yet come away with the points. It's a tactic or realisation that we are not going to dominate the ball, so make positive use of it when we do have it. Yesterday was no different. I think our priority is not to concede (granted we did yesterday via the spot) and then take What we can on the break. Unfortunately Wells' brain didn't look the sharpest, but we did stick to what we have been doing. Some of our defending is superb, it really is. Lynch giving leistner some verbal for misjudging a through ball was fantastic and passionate. Eze was quiet but he's one of those players that draws a foul, makes things happen, can turn a game.....so I personally would always leave him on for the full game. Freeman always positive and trying to make things happen. Unfortunately for us, our bench didn't look like it could improve the starting 11.

I don’t think we were outplayed against Villa or Sheff Wed particularly in the second halves of each. My memory doesn’t go back further than that.

Agree with most of that, but I don't think we made such good use of the ball when we had it yesterday. The stats confirm we were less of an attacking threat than in the previous 3 games - only 5 shots with 1 on target yesterday.
