Not the first time we've let in a late goal there either. I think I saw us win there in the 1982/83 season 3-1.
I can’t recall us ever even getting a draw there. My first ever away game was first game of the season when Shearer dived for a pen and we lost 1-0. Saw us lose 3-0 there in the cup. Lost 3-2 under Hughes. Lost another cup game when Mackie broke his leg. Not a lucky ground.
Now to see our ‘backbounceability’ ... such a tight league we need to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get out there and get another win.
I think they've only lost once at home this season...not many teams will get a result there it's that kind of ground
I think the last time we won there was in October 1999. 2-0 with goals from Wardley and Gallen. Can't recall a win since then.
Just seen the highlights ( one Blackburn attack and then the penalty incident ) and it looked like Scowen played the ball to me.
Exactly this. Never a pen for me. Scowen nudges the ball away, then the legs tangle and the player goes down. Given the position of the ref and the fact it looks a bit awkward, it’s given, but not a penalty for me
It's my fault, I'm sorry. Firstly, I didn't post to say I wouldnt be posting, then at the approximate moment we conceded, I gave up looking for my dog's turd - all I could see was brown leaves. I really tried to find the thing, I knew the repercussions, but I gave up. I'm sorry.
I can recall Scowen giving away a penalty earlier this season at HQ. (On that occasion it was a silly, wild tackle.) I hope this is not becoming a habit.
