Sterling is decent, other than being a bit of a tw@t the hate he gets for England is unfair. England play to lump it up to the dribbler up top and bypass Sterling completely, whereas the right set up like with us and now City he is effective.
I think he would be easy to play against. He's predictable. If he have a **** about anything other than money then he could have been a very good player. He's still got the same faults as he had when he was seventeen, the lads not interested in learning. If he'd stayed at Liverpool, we'd currently have a front three of Salah, Firmino and Mane!
He went to City to win trophies and play nice football. Sure Liverpool were throwing money at him, but no good having loads of money and no medals to show great grand kids
and when you are going to have 400 of the little tykes it won't matter if you deserved any of the medals, just tjat there's a lot of them to pass round
And now he's run his contract down and it's demanding to be made into one of highest earners at the club/world #ambition
Well then why care, he is just a mercenary with no link/allegiance to a club. But he has some medals to show for it, while he cons top managers and clubs into wanting him.
Seems some hate towards Sterling, his move to earn more while winning trophies. Should be seen as great business for Liverpool as he isn’t that good to be fair.
I couldn't give 2 ****s about sterling. I do find it funny all the frequent visitors to our board are defending him though. Don't remember much of that when he was our player but whatever. Who would he replace in our team then if he is so great?
I don't see the big deal with sterling or why when he's mentioned liverpool are linked. Fair enough when he went, it stung as it does when any player leaves, he went for the money and the better chance of success. He's got both at the end of the day. He's done well for himself, considering his limited ability. What I always remember when we talk about footballers being mercenaries. Is that as fans we and as a club we are happy to **** a player off, regardless of connection or effort for the club. It's very much a two way street, players have very little loyalty to the club, but the club and fans are equally fickle.
