Yeah, I don't think he deserves to have been left on the sidelines either. He played his best football for us last season and got dropped for no reason by MP2. And then Hughes comes in and clearly doesn't like him, and it's not as though the team is doing well and justifying his exclusion from the team. He's gone from England U21 Captain in a successful team, to not getting game time for a team struggling to stay in the league. Yoshida and Romeu must be frustrated at the moment too. I doubt theres a great atmosphere in camp these days.
Agree with the calls for JWP to get some action in the starting line-up. Clearly deserves more than we're giving him. with a decent striker he could deliver balls into the box that'd cause havoc to most defences.
Big Jan getting on the end of JWP's pinpoint deliveries looked like a promising weapon during pre-season but we have barely seen it at all so far.
I really hope you would be allowed to play against us, should the scenario arise. What better way for Hughes to see if he’s up to the job?
