looking a bit further ahead ´,to the 3 05 at wetherby:

hard to pass over my old friend kylemore lough, but i think,he has just too stiff a mark at present, and a lot of weight, despite his conditional taking a few pounds off.in my view,GUITAR PETE didnt get the credit,he deserved, for winning the caspian caviar cup, after what did happen to starchitect, but hes a pretty useful horse on his day,and has a lovely weight today.has won this race 12 months ago,off 10 lbr higher, but i still rate him highly to repeat the feat today..

2 nice novice chasers there but Claimin....................... could be going to the very top. Lovely looking horse with bags of scope - will be a monster with another year on him.

I said the other day I think he looks too big to have the speed required for a Champion Hurdle. He has 3 mile chaser written all over him.

As I tried to tell everyone back in February, this is an over-hyped horse. Poor horse, it isn't his fault. His front extension is not very good; the maximum amount of ground he can cover is limited by that. 2miles on good ground and he'll be too slow, the further he goes the worse off he will be as he won't be efficient. He isn't the best of jumpers

As I said again earlier in this thread, I wouldn't touch him at the price for the Champion Hurdle. Lovely horse but not as good as the hype

It was only his first run so there remains some hope for backers. Good luck

Was really impressed by both, be nice to see both continue to impress over fences. He’s probably my Arkle horse at the minute (although I’d go JLT)

Henry VIII Novices Chase at Sandown next? Or maybe another smaller heat beforehand (that race at Donny where he started Sprinter Sacre off must be coming soon).

He needs races (although being a Henderson horse probably be wrapped in cottonwool now)

I’d guess they’d go to the race Altior won at Kempton and then look at grades heats

I had the feeling McGrath was looking for a stride on him at every fence and not really seeing it. I'd like to see Nico on him next time (rate him far superior) and get into a lovely rhythm with him. Plenty more to come from him.

If Henderson and Nicholls can’t get this horse to go forward then she is tricky!!

Skidoosh to beat the odds on jolly in the next.

Never touched a fence Oddy so must have been doing something right. Re the not seeing the stride, it looked OK to me but I'll get Amanda to have a look and see what she thinks
