https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/ne...f-gate-shaken-by-locals-while-chasing-hounds/ Is it just me or are the lads simply trying to open the gate so she doesn't need to climb? Perfect gents
Love the quote half way down “the gate was at least 2 metres tall” no it ****ing isn’t it’s about 5 feet look at the pictures. Maybe the sun should change their headline to “Giants discovered in Countryside”
Glad to hear that the police have identified this creature. I have no time either for fat, white, ugly, obscene, racist slobs of the extreme right. What a goddamn coward too. Spent a fair bit of my working life in West African countries (six in all) and was never racially abused once by any black person. Might have been spoken to rudely occasionally, sometimes treated offhandedly, but that's life, and I might well have deserved that at times, but racial abuse? Never!
The following clip might be a bit too long for some, but what the heck. This beast is quite famous, it was built in 1927 and before being being taken out of service for a spit and polish last year, Santa Fe 3751 was the oldest 484 still in operation. Just behind 3751 and further down the line, you'll see a diesel, they're not providing the grunt, they're there solely to supply the power for the lights, electrics and air conditioning. 3751 is one big, beautiful monster. (If that makes sense.)
Nov 17th could be interesting here. Apparently the French are organising a country-wide blockage of petrol stations in protest about the rising petrol prices. Not because of oil prices but because the French Government has imposed heavy tax increases on petrol and diesel. Haven't seen any signs of it here yet but I will be filling up before then and topping up if possible before it starts. I'll have to toodle off down to the local petrol stations on the 17th to see what's going on (if anything)
How's that for a coincidence, we just happen to be having a no fuel day today Ron. It's a nice idea, but it probably won't have any long term effect.
Honestly, the politeness of the French. Dropped off my grandson at the football club this morning as the team are off on a 3hr trip. This is what happens every time people meet at the club, or anywhere else. 1. As the players arrive, each one gives the tap tap "hand shake" greeting to all the other players already there, then they kiss all the mothers and any other females that are there and shake hands with all the male adults 2. As the mothers and other female adults arrive, they kiss all the players and all adults already there 3. As adult males arrive they give the tap tap "hand shake" to all the players, kiss all the adult females already there and shake hands with all other adult males already there No wonder we have to get there so ****ing early
Wait until Sir Philip Green shows up to drop off his sons. There will be more than a little tap tap with the females... except Shuhada Davitt
Brilliant! All started with a fairly innocuous shove. Both sides need to work on the their fitness. Is the league sponsored by Ginsters?
Watching HIGNFY on Friday, guest host Teessider Steph McGovern recounted how she had once gone to Grimsby to film on the docks for BBC Breakfast and somebody had mistaken her for a prostitute, offered her £10 to drink 4 cans of Stella and p*ss on them. She said if it had been £15 and Grolsch she might have gone for it. After filming, she left in a taxi and the driver thought she was a hooker going home. I do not know how they could have mistaken the gorgeous Steph for a call girl because they do not look that good in Grimsby. But the good news is that £10 is top of the market rates in this part of the country – it would only have been £5 in Hull (I have been offered ‘business’ for that a couple of times).
Are ladies of the night more expensive in Auld Reekie? I did see a local BBC reporter (from Grimsby) tweeted about how funny it was, possibly because she might have been offered less than a tenner. I come from near Grimsby and worked there over 25 years ago. There were some right scrubbers walking the streets. In Hull, I used to walk down a street that was known to be the red light district going home on dark winter evenings and often got asked “any business?” It must have moved as there is now a cop shop on the corner of the street and a new arena on the other side! The hookers try to pick you up in some of the bars instead. You can watch HIGNFY on YouTube here: Start at about 17:30 for her meeting with Trump. Start at about 24:20 for her Grimsby revelations. Watch the whole thing. I loved Ian’s reaction when Baroness Bakewell asked, “what is it about small fat men?” And the revelations about Ian and Paul declining invites to do Strictly. Ian: “I’ve had enough of judges being rude to me”. Also, just as a spoiler, Paul and Richard won by one point but were awarded two points by Steph at the start because Joan Bakewell was once told life was unfair.
I prefer my financially controlled moist contortions to be practiced indoors in the comfort of the local Gentleman's Club (Scorpio Leisure - close to the stadium of Hibernian football Club). I do not intend giving any hints on what my sixty four year old bones can still manage however, let us say, for around £120 I can be pampered for an hour by some extremely attractive Eastern European lady in their thirties. Is it any wonder I am an ardent and avid supporter of the European Union?
Wow, Leicester City was among the chopper that crashed seconds after taking off at the King Power Stadium. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leicestershire-46006470
On Sunday a tree (or to be precise half a tree) was taken down by the wind (I presume) and ripped the telephone lines out. We thought nothing could be done without calling out Orange as it would need a tensioner. But, my lad got on a ladder and managed to pull them tight enough to temporarily join the cables together. Bloody heavy holding those cables (2 of them) let alone being at the top of a ladder. Anyway it gave us back the telephone and internet, so job done. He has some connectors now to do a proper job later. What would we do without him?
Focus on violent crime not misogyny, says police chief Sadly, I suspect that Sara Thornton will soon find herself out of a job as the political correctness brigade decide that the police prioritising actual crime ahead of pointless paperwork to appease the likes of the #MeToo crowd is not good enough. There was a guy on the radio this morning that was mugged and beaten up in the street near Kings Cross Station one night in the dark and the police did not bother to turn out or record it as a crime because they had no-one available.
It probably had little to with misogyny, it was more likely down to a lack of man power due to other crimes at the time. It wouldn't be a matter of. "Oh look, another misogyny case, lets attend that and give the assault a big swerve."
