I find this utterly abhorrent. I have friend who love their guns and shooting animals. The one hasn’t spoke to me for three years after he tried to justify breeding lions to be shot helped preserve them.

I would happily pull the trigger on numerous people than I would an animal.

Trophy hunting should be banned. Killing and shooting vermin is fine by me.

I remember watching a program that said that the world was due a mass extinction - rather then a meteorite or an ice age, this time it is us.

    Agent Smith was right.

OK so show me their data?

As far as I am aware, all extinction rates and numbers come from computer models mostly. Additionally, it happens time and time again that species that are claimed extinct pop up later on and are in fact not extinct.

I mean, it's not like the WWF gets hundreds of millions in funding from making claims like this is it, oh wait, that is exactly what the case is.

I never delved into WWF claims but I can tell you now, almost everything Greenpeace claims, is false, or at the very least exaggerated to the extreme.

So, I'd like to see this WWF source and the "data" its based on.
Plus, you have say, people with nothing to live on, like in Brazil, who have to cut forest to farm, to actually feed their kids and survive, forgive me but **** some bird or rat that gets wiped out in such enterprise.

99%+ of every species that ever lived is extinct, and we didn't kill em all - George Carlin

Even if we did not exist, us humans, in the 1000 years a vast number of species will go extinct anyway. So we do wipe out some.

Amazingly, no one ever mentions the numbers of new species that come about, cos well, there is no scare and no money in that is there. Good news never gets you $$$, bad news gets you lots of $$$ when it comes to environmental scares.

    From their own page

How many species are we losing?
Well... this is the million dollar question.

And one that’s very hard to answer.
Firstly, we don’t know exactly what’s out there.

It’s a big complex world and we discover new species to science all the time.

"Scientists were startled in 1980 by the discovery of a tremendous diversity of insects in tropical forests. In one study of just 19 trees in Panama, 80% of the 1,200 beetle species discovered were previously unknown to science... Surprisingly, scientists have a better understanding of how many stars there are in the galaxy than how many species there are on Earth." - World Resources Institute (WRI).

So, if we don’t know how much there is to begin with, we don’t know exactly how much we’re losing.

    Count
this one as debunked, by the WWF themselves

Have white rhinos become extinct by any other means that being hunted?

Are bees dying out due to any other reason than pesticides?

Personally I don’t care about some stuff but great apes and big cats, polar bears amazing animals that have been destroyed by us.

Whales ffs some ****s still want to eat them. I’d rather see idiots like you, the Chinese who think eating tigers helps them get a rod plus most Americans gassed like the Jews.

An illiterate like Toby doesn't realise the logistics of counting every species on earth and documenting its numbers

It would take a thousand years with current resources lol

    Eco mut talk

You don't care about white rhinos, you are virtue signalling you are "better than me" because I am evidence based.

    Bees and pesticides, prove it.
It's not like wiping out billions of hives, agri land conversion and eradication of wild grasses has had an impact is it? oh wait

You are conflating what I said with wanton destruction, which I don't agree with, I'm actually a conservationist, not an eco mut, we do, we don't just talk

yes, a "flapper" that provides WWF sourced info that refutes their own claim, and Yale360 source to show extinction rates come from computer models, not actual data

    Information is not your enemy

Mate that post is literally the ramblings of some deranged right-wing mong. I've seen Kevin post stuff that makes more sense.

    You're basically claiming:

    - that we don't know exactly how many endangered members of a species are alive at any time (no ****)

    - that the WWF are in it for the money (8/10 on the *****meter)

    - that almost everything GreenPeace claim is false (another solid 8/10 on the *****meter)

    - that actually, even if it is happening, you don't care if some Brazilian subsistence farmers kill animals (if you think that's what's wiping species out you have a 9.5/10 sorted)

    - that actually loads of new species are 'coming out', like a new film or book (9/10 at least)

You've completely misunderstood the dangers to us as a species of this mass extinction. Have to say it's spectacularly *****ey, you get at least a 9/10. I also noticed some sprinklings of climate change denial too, you're a proper loopy ****, takes some serious effort <applause>

Prepares to inaccurately paraphrase me with the following line
    "You're basically claiming:"

"- that we don't know exactly how many endangered members of a species are alive at any time (no ****)"
False, I said WWF, they gave a specific extinction rate of 60% Fail

    - that the WWF are in it for the money (8/10 on the *****meter)
False, I said claims of doom generate funding, fact.

"- that actually loads of new species are 'coming out', like a new film or book (9/10 at least)"
False, I said no one is talking about new species

"You've completely misunderstood the dangers to us as a species of this mass extinction. Have to say it's spectacularly *****ey, you get at least a 9/10. I also noticed some sprinklings of climate change denial too, you're a proper loopy ****, takes some serious effort [img class="mceSmilie" alt=""

False, there is no mass extinction, you ******, if there was, it would have started thousands or millions of years ago.
When a mass extinction happens, you don't worry about tigers, you worry about cockroaches
Paleo Expert Doug Erwin of the Smithsonian, says you are a ******, when you claim mass extinction

Also, ******, I am center left, you angry bro?

****in eco muts, wouldn't know facts or honesty if they side kicked you in the face
