Wish the card at Fakenham was as good as this last week when I went.
Could be tempted to do a Lucy Wadham patent there, just to give me a bit of interest while I'm at work ;)

    Bet placed with skybet BOG

    Very very modest e/w patent

    Master of Finance @ 7/1
    Dance To Paris @ 15/2
    Trincomalee @ 7/1

Just over £40 if they all come in

Given the fact that it’s Halloween the big question, of the day, must be will there be more tricks or more treats contained within this edition of the ‘Daily Thread’?!?

Lieutenant Henderson doesn’t have any runners today so unfortunately there can be no topical jokes about ghosts and ghoulies at ‘Seven Barrows’. Similarly no quips about witches and wizards brewing up an unholy concoctions, in a spooky cauldron, as bats fly overhead. Shame.

Being serious for a moment though I really hope that The Squire is bought by someone decent and then sent to a good barn. Really am on tenterhooks right now.

    Good luck all.

Might we see the 2019 Supreme Novices Hurdle winner making his debut over timber at Fakenham? Didtheyleaveuoutto not a betting proposition today but expect him to demonstrate his enormous talent (which was only blunted by the hellish heavy ground in the Champion Bumper).

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This may appear rude but if that horse is as good as he’s supposed to be (and he very well might be) wouldn’t you take if out of Nick Gifford’s yard??? Can he really be trusted with a top notcher??? To use a footballing analogy it would be akin to insisting that the best striker in the land stayed at Chippenham Town rather than transferring to The Arsenal.

If I was McManus (cor blimey perish the thought) you would seriously have to consider a transfer to the Lieutenant / Alan King / Mr Nicholls (delete as appropriate).

Problem I have with this horse is his way of running, obviously has a massive engine but does he have the right temperament? Hope we see a nice clear round, and a straightforward win.

For The Arsenal you’d have to substitute Man City or Liverpool surely?

Still a young horse Nass and maybe jumping hurdles will help focus his mind? Also hoping for a nice clear round today and in a good time <ok>

… or Wycombe Wanderers. Are we the only team to do the double over Man City?

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. The Arsenal are on the rise once again and the quadruple is still on, don't forget. Currently, only Blackpools are between The Arsenal and the Quarter-Finals of the League Cup. And I expect that hurdle to be navigated with ease later on this evening (NAP).

Should have no trouble beating Blackpool. I expect a large score unless Arsenal field too many youngsters. I have to say I was disappointed with their display against Palace. Anyone who didn't know the team colours would have though Palace were the Arsenal

Was 6-0 to The Arsenal the last time the 2 teams met. And I would expect more of the same tonight (NAP). Don’t think that the starting XI will be solely kids as it represents a really good chance to win a bit of silverware (and amazing The Arsenal have only won this cup twice and been beaten in Finals by Birmingham City, Luton and Swindon bally Down!).

Somewhat ominously though the 2 teams so far in the quarters are also ‘B’s’ – Bournemouth and Burton.

Well Wycombe beat Burton so can't see them getting through (drew with Blackpool incidentally but we didn't have our best team available at the start of the season)

Mature Cheddar Cheese and tomato pasta salad. Ably supported by an apple and a bucket of water. 7/10.

Right can I bore everyone solid by talking yet again (final time I promise) about last Friday’s selections. Herculean after his effort was actually raised a pound and is now perched on 91. And it has now been reported that Royal King had ‘breathing problems’ during his race - https://www.britishhorseracing.com/racing/stewards-reports/#!?q=Royal King&pagenum=1. He’s also been dropped 4 lbs to 50. Cor blimey if these can be sorted out he would be of huge interest off this mark next time. I was excited by him off 54 so I may, next time, get so giddy at the prospect of Royal King running off 50 that my head might explode!

While I’m on the same stable have acquired a new horse after claiming him out of a seller 11 days ago – Excellent Team (that’s the animals name, incidentally, I’m not complimenting you all). Like Royal King he’s a son of Teofilio (dam Listed placed) and his previous 2 trainers were old boy Saaed and Danny Skelton. Set to have his first run for new connections on Sunday, at Huntingdon, and the excellent Cobden boy has been booked. May be a short stay though as they pitch Excellent Team straight into a claimer! If all the entries turn up though he could be up against it, on ratings. as it’s not a handicap. Anyway if you get a spare minute look this one up as he’s another interesting recruit.

    hi fellas!

    fakenham,1 30:

well,SALTO CHISCO is becoming slightly frustrating,as he seems to always find one or two too good, but i think, there are valid reasons to believe, that he can win again to day:

    - is better treated over hurdles than over fences
    - was third to exitas on his second last start, and this horse has just won the veterans chase at aintree on saturday, with consummate ease,so that looks far better form now.

so,i hope,he ll go in again today..

Decent education for Didtheyleaveuoutto but nothing more than that. Muddling pace, tight track and will strip much fitter next time. Jumped well on the whole. A nice galloping track would suit much better I am sure.

Gone as low as 16's for the Supreme after that. Wonder if Pym will be the new favourite come close of play on Friday?!?
