Hereâs some info regarding Bendtnerâs Loan move to Sunderland from one the daily Danish newspapers: Bendtner denies that he was close to signing for Stoke and that his father, who is his agent,never visited Stoke. He further states that as time dragged on and he wasnât going to be sold to a Champions League team and a loan was on the cards, Sunderland was the club that he wanted to go to. He says that he has great faith in Steve Bruce who he believes will get the best out of him. In another article Bendtnerâs father states that there were two other clubs who were interested in him and the only reason that he wasnât sold was the price Arsenal were asking. He also says that he doesnât know the asking price but it was a key factor in the loan move. Another article states that Bendtner was dating Bruceâs daughter Amy back in 2006/2007 when he was playing for Birmingham and she was left brokenhearted when they broke up ! So it would appear that Steve Bruce clearly bears no malice towards him. Anyway, the pundits here in DK feel this a good move for Bendtner and expect him to have great season once he settles in. Only time will tell if he makes the grade !
I heard the fee after one years loan is £8m if we take up the offer better value than Whickham if you look at it that way

Thats the problem If he has a good season will he sign for us or look for a team in Europe If he is ****e we won't want him. If he does have a good season At 23 i would like to think he would sign for us for a few seasons at least
The one stumbling block i think is his ego, he will want European football so will be looking at AC or Inter probably, unless of course we get it, at the minute i cant see it at all, but it is 38 games so you never know.
I certainly hope you're right mate. With Bendtner there would still be sell on value no matter what. The 8 Mill on Connor as a prospect worries me, hopefully he will get his chance and fill his boots.
