I agree with the general drift of what you chaps are saying, but I don't think anymore that 'havoc' will be wreaked. For me that term implies catastrophic events, outrages, confrontations. What is happening now at Charlton is more like gradual and quiet decline. And if we lose our remaining good players, and eventually lose our third tier status, and perhaps even ultimately lose the Valley, we will go down with scarcely even a whimper. Little by little, expectaions have been lowered to match circumstances. Some supporters are content as long as the players on the pitch are giving 100% effort. Presumably they will still be content when non-league players in Charlton shirts are giving 100% at Welling's ground or on a playing field somewhere in Greenwich or Bromley. When it gets to that stage, assuming Duchatelet has sold the Valley and Sparrows Lane but still owns what is left of the Club (it's badge and name) then the time will have come to form AFC Charlton, a new Club which has passion and ambition to do better at it's heart, rather than contentment with mediocrity.
does anyone have any short descriptions on how he left clubs he's sold? we might be able to work out his approach, or what he might do to us. how many is he down to now? 4, 5?
Alcorcon, bizarrely, are in an automatic promotion spot just now. There are bigger clubs in the mix with money left over from their top tier life, so Alcorcon look a bit like Shrewsbury did last year. I don't really follow them much, but they appear to be doing okay under Duchatalet, but then again I believe his input at the club as almost zero.
I honestly am NEVER ever waiting to read another interview with Roland. I have no interest in a geriatric jerk spinning his idiot lies again. Been there.
It was more of a statement than a question. “Jim...tell Duchatelet he’s a c unt” I’m hopeful it will get read out on air.
Duchatelet will make a number of crass comments today in his pigeon English & Rick and Co will vow to make the club even more of a basket case than it already is. #groundhogday
