Wes Morgan is suspended. Demarai Gray isnt too far off returning but wont be back until next month. Matty James is still injured but Jamie Vardy should be ok after apparently being caught short at Arsenal. So here is what I would play

    Schmeichel

    Evans
    Soyuncu
    Maguire

    Ricardo
    Ndidi
    Mendy
    Chilwell

    Maddison

    Iheanacho
    Vardy

Subs- Ward, Amartey, Fuchs, Iborra, Albrighton, Ghezzal, Okazaki

As part of the build up for this game here in NZ, Bein sport who cover the Prem showed City vs West Ham from the great escape and so I watched it again. What a game that was. Cambiasso volleying in off a pass from someones bum, Nugent missing a penalty a few minutes later, West Ham equalizing then Kasper keeping them out almost singlehandedly apart from the open goal where they hit the post instead and finally Kingy guiding in Vardys scuffed shot with 3 minutes to go. Vardy even then mucked up a one on one with Adrian.. Its amazing how much the team has changed in such a relatively short time. Cambiasso, Nugent, Schlupp, De Laet, Huth, Kramaric all gone. Other things of note were how poor James was and how good Kramaric was.

Kramaric didnt fit in with our high pressing counter attacking play at all but I think he would do well in our current system

    Gokhan Inler the same

Yeah you’re right actually - ironically both would be great additions to our slow boring football. Kramaric appears to be one of those interesting ones who is very good but always has to play in his own way and if you don’t play that way is useless.

Leicester U23’s are beating West Ham 3-0 after just over 20 mins

Andy King, Yohan Benalouane and Fousenni Diabate are playing. Diabate has got one of the goals

    Hopefully its the same tomorrow

    According John Percy

Jamie Vardy has been dropped for tomorrow. Its angered Vardy.

Vardy’s wife has had a pop at Puel on twitter so Puel has just pured petrol on the fire if we dont win tomorrow. Puel really needs Iheanacho to come good tomorrow

If we lose tomorrow its time for Vichai to react

Don't see why tomorrow is a crunch point - I agree with Puel in dropping Vardy as he has been off form and has stomach problems so needs a break whether he likes it or not.

Vardy's missus always talks **** so is no big deal.

Regardless of form we cant drop Vardy as we have no one better

Your not Puel’s agent by any chance as he cant do nothing wrong in your eyes

That is definitely a failure on our part that we don't have anyone near Vardy's ability atm but I would rather have a fully fit Vardy in the future rather then a half fit one now that will just get injured.

As for Puel, dunno why it isn't obvious to you but it is to me that he is a transitional manager who was put in charge to break up our ageing team and bring through a new crop of youngsters like he has done at Lyon and Nice and he is doing a decent job at it with the likes of Chilwell, Maguire, Ndidi, Mendy and Maddison doing well under his watch.

I could spend all my time calling him names and wishing upon a star that Pearson comes back or something, but I would rather support my team - my only requirement this season is that we aren't as crap as last season and so far we have exceed that low bar so I am reasonably satisfied. Once we have a proper spine again, then we bring in someone with ideas to take us places.

I do have to admit that I am not really enjoying the conservative way we are playing and it is really annoying that among a lot of other things we don't have a proper RB, Evans is taking so long to replace Morgan, Soyuncu is taking so long to figure out English and we are overly reliant on a 31 year old striker that is breaking down but I will keep on smiling and cheering while I don't have a noose long enough to stretch over a lampost.

Fully agree. I really admire what Puel is doing and am enjoying the team he is putting together. He does need to be smarter about the day to day though in terms using the players he has signed and some of his baffling subs. I also think we play some great stuff at times, both away at Old Trafford and The Emirates we have played football in a way we haven’t before. That said we do need to be more confident to make that final pass quicker rather than pass sideways or keep the ball for the sake of it.
Re Vardy, I do worry his influence could cause Puel problems if he has dropped him.

Nobody should be undroppable. I read somewhere that Vardy had just 12 touches in the Arsenal game. He doesn't seem to make the runs he used to and maybe we need to look at someone different. I love Vardy and he is a club legend, but we when we have played without him before, we seem to score goals, so I'm not that worried if he is dropped.

Be interesting to see if Puel drops him completely or just benches him.

I’m also not worried about dropping him - been out of form and Ihenacho is more than capable to be a starting striker for a club of our size when he wants to put the effort in. Also, imagine the effect of bringing on Jamie Vardy when we are drawing 60 minutes in - a role he isn’t resigned to for a long time yet but where he probably will be in a couple of years.

What is dissapoitong is how he feels he is unstoppable if you believe certain news reports. I don’t for one minute think he left the pitch for anything other than a stomach bug, thats just not in his character. Also, it is disappointing how his wife has chosen to react on social media if true as she knows the effect it will have but Jamie would have told her to do it, these things are all about publicity.

Agree, Harborough. As long as Puel's dropping any player doesn't amount to cutting off his nose to spite his face then I'm comfortable with it. And Vardy's missus needs to keep her opinionated beak out of it.

The main problem with Vardy is that he has to rely on a defence playing a very high line or not having a speedy central defender to match his pace. If those criteria aren't there then he can be pretty ineffective, even anonymous, as he isn't the sort of striker like Aguero who can hold a ball up or out-muscle and turn a defender or dribble past him. On the other hand, when he can play to his strengths he can be very good. Unfortunately on paper we don't have another prolific goal scorer. Maybe Iheanacho is, but he needs the right partner.

We all love Vardy but he is not bigger than the club or undroppable. This so called stomach problem is either a sh*t gone wrong or a big ego which I hope is not the case. maybe being named as sub may do him good if that is the case.

I agree and it is disappointing that she/they don’t just accept it.
Anyone think it could be mind games leaked by the club through Percy to throw West Ham off and he plays anyway?

I didn't think you were allowed to just walk off the pitch without the referee's permission.
