Yeah I know everyone is fed up with Bullard threads, but I thought the deadline for an appeal was this week, doesanybody know if thats right and if so was an appeal made ?
pretty sure he couldnt make an appeal because he joined another club, but he can still sue for wrongful dismissal and stuff like that.
If he does try and sue for wrongful Dismissal then as he did not appeal he has little chance of success as he will have to prove that there was no point in the appeal as the outcome was already decided. This will be difficult. My guess is that he was allowed to join another club and received some form of compensation through a compromise agreement. Time will tell of course
Cause I think any payment to Bullard will have to be in the company accounts which are open to public scrutiny
in a twist of fate i think that Hull City would have a good case to counter sue Jimmy Bullard for breach of contract. Jimmy Bullard failed on many levels to do what he was well paid to do. Imo, it will fizzle out with nothing more to be paid by City. Bullard knows he was in the wrong and should be thankful he has got a club willing to pay him 20k a week. Whats the saying ? quit whilst your ahead.
Not necessarily. It's all speculation of course but I suspect an out of court settlement could happen between Mr Bullard & HCAFC if Bullard has any grounds to appeal the decision. However if Mr Allam takes out his chequebook and pays Mr Bullard then if it's a personal cheque or indeed one from the holding company, then these details is not open to public scrutiny. Mr Bullard's lawyer will have advised his client if and how much he can sue for wrongful dismissal & possibly HCAFC will offer an out-of-court amount which would probably be less than the lawyer's estimate. Jimmy may be advised to accept this. A similar situation occured with one of my ex-collegues, so I'm basing my view on this. The club may choose to make a statement after the appeal deadline indicating an agreement was made but I doubt we'll ever hear what amounts were concerned. I may be wrong, as I've said it's just my opinion.
Jimmy's wages were not in Hull City's budget so the Allam's may pay him off from their own pockets! I dont think any more money will be paid to Jimmy though
If there's one thing we know about Bullard it's that all of his actions are dictated by greed. He has dropped from 45 to 20 thousand a week and lost out on nearly £5 million. Don't expect him to go away quietly. I just hope our case is water-tight.
A poster on Ipswich board hinted about "an altercation between Bullard and a City coach" and that the City coach couldn't continue working with City after the event - was Joe Corrigan involved in some way? just wondering..
do you think that the appeal is more to do with Jimmy Bullard not admitting liability and thus opening himself up to further action from Hull City? it would be nice if this much lauded Channel 4 programme showed hard evidence of Jimmy Bullard's alleged drug taking......oh how we dream for the journos to do what we would like them to do as our fourth estate of the realm????
it must be true then. the investigative hull daily mail get to the core of the issue once again it seems....hmmmmm?
Well the Allams have not gained there vast wealth from being stupid. So my guess is that JB is fighting a losing battle. Hope so and hope it ends in court so that we can all hear whats gone on and JB loses his case and has to pay up for the lawyers costs. Now that will be a great result for Hull City.
Maybe or maybe to do with saving face or trying to. If Jb justw walked away and did nothing what little respect his has left would be lost. I just dont see how JB has a case. Clutching at straws is my best guess.
