Oh come on sotonsaint, you said in your previous post you’ll “get it up this evening.” Seems a fair deal just to sit through dinner with he in laws, if you ask me.
We need a new Serb! and there's one out there we should be buying! https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45922808
Her old man is fine , top guy and we’re have a beer and crack a joke. Its just the fire breathing, lamb over cooking, burnt to **** potatoes mother that I don’t really get on with it.
Oh I'm not saying it's easy. But if, as a board, you've let your squad get so weak that the likes of Long and Austin are featuring heavily, then you've kind of backed yourself into a corner. No-one forced them to only make two attacking signings this summer, when we've lost Tadic and Boufal (and Carrillio) and were coming off the back of hardly scoring a goal for two years. That they did only buy two means that, for me, the only way to justify it would be for both to hit and ground and running, and (hopefully) get us out of malaise of the recent past. I really hope the guy succeeds. But we need so much more than him (or from him) right now.
I do agree we should have signed more, it’s just hard for a club like us to find the right one, although we have done it on the past.
Just read a match report, in which the reporter wrote, “ If you were a condemned man, awaiting execution, you would want Hughes’ strikers for the execution squad”. With a goal per shot ratio of 4.8%, you can’t really argue with that. To be fair, he also has a pop at our next match rivals, Newcastle, claiming that they couldn’t hit a barn door with a muck spreader and that the game could be “a riot of binary”.
At least Sparky appears to be trying something different in defence. We still appear to have playmaker problems. As for our strikers they seem to be lacking in confidence. Sadly that doesn’t appear to be Sparkies strongest coaching ability. Overall how much of these problems are down to Sparky or the Previous managers is a matter of conjecture. Still we got a point.......you can never right the Saints off.
Aren't Bournemouth thoroughly decent. Everytime we need a result, and are at a low ebb, they come along & go real easy on us. Even their fans seem a little less annoyed with us. I think its because Brighton come across as really annoying, that they are now the South Coast team to dislike. Bloody Seagulls.
If it happens then at least the new man has plenty of time left and I will be grateful to Sparky. Yes Swansea commited suicide but we still needed the two wins and he got them to save us.
I call BS. Took us 30 games to sack someone who deserved it last term. Mark has been more unlucky that inept.
